-the whole vampire story seems to be amenable to be made into a "side-line" quest. Perhaps giving the character the possibility to become a vampire or at least talking about "incredible power" in the vampire Throne would be enough to make it more interesting. And you shouldn't gain access to the next vampire quest until you've completed the previous one (ie. reached the purple chest). Add a dracula-like monster at the end and maybe a vampiric butler or something midway, and a plot twist allowing you to choose to become a vampire once you vanquish Dracula by drinking his blood could be pretty cool
-make some unique pieces of equipment that never spawn twice
- PLEASE, explain how crafting works! Like... dumb it down for me, with a step by step description. =)
some suggestions:
-try to make the "side quests" fit in a bit more with the storyline
-add a difficulty setting... I'm finding the game a bit easy now
-populate the dungeons with more than one monster type, or at least add bosses here and there - so far, it's just been fighter archer or mage of one specific race each time
-perhaps adjust the difficulty curve in order to provide people with an incentive to do the side quests and train a bit more before moving on
this is a finely polished game which surely took lots of work and effort, and which, with a few small adjustments, could easily become a classic, if not one of the top played flash RPGs. Congrats on a job well done, and keep up with the fine tuning :)
nice game. A bit easy but other than the occasional platform blocking glitch, it was really fun. I'd just like a couple more levels, preferably more challenging ones!
Interesting. However I don't agree with MysteryManNum1's interpretation of the message that this game send out. And I don't think people downrating games is a problem. It's great that we have access to freeware, and we must appreciate gamemakers' efforts to produce quality games... Downrating is not a lack of appreciation, respect, or gratefulness towards the producer. Downrating is a way that the community has to guide game developpers towards an ever-improving and ever-innovating gameworld. I mean seriously... there are enough TDs out there so yes I'll say "not another TD" when I see a new, poorly-designed TD. If developpers see this, they'll get tired of our criticism and think of new, revolutionnary games that will bring THEM fame and fortune, and that will bring us more enjoyment... It's not easy, but it's worth it.. and if we'd rate crap the same way we rate Kongai then there wouldn't be any point to the whole rating system no?...
Gets really boring in the end... and way too easy. Plus the money glitch - if you get over a certain amount, you fall into the negatives and you can't buy anything anymore.
I love this game. Nice mix between puzzle and strategy, and good implementation. I am surprized to see such a bad reception from the community. Great game, good job. 5/5 from me.
Finally it would be nice to have a priest class who can heal himself (and his party members if you decide to include companions)
And if you decide to allow monsters to hurt the "hero", it would be a good idea to make the more advanced monsters considerably stronger than the weaker ones... so that even if you have the money to fight a level 500 red dragon at level 20 you can't really try to fight it cus' you'll be fried in one shot
oh and... make the classes different. as in not only different looks, but also different abilities... Perhaps the warrior should make a bit less damage but get more defense so as you level him up you can buy better armor... this way he will lose less HP, require less potions and be more "productive"
On the other hand, the wizard should have the ability to deal massive damage but he should be more frail and get hurt more easily... He should have spells that you can activate... and perhaps a larger random factor in the damage he deals. This way he would be a more "risky" class to play cus' he needs constant attention
good idea BUT very very very basic. You definitely must give us more stuff to do... yes buy better enemies but also buy stronger attacks, perhaps companions, experience scrolls (that make you level faster), maybe weapons/armor... and most importantly a health bar allowing the monster to eventually kill you if you don't pay attention... if there's no risk there's not too much fun.
Good luck, I'm looking forward to a more developed version of this game!

not a bad TD. nice graphics and cool idea of using penguins... a more detailed story would be welcome - why are these penguins attacking us? where are they coming from? what do they want?
Difficulty-wise, the game is on the easier side, but enjoyable nevertheless (finished lvl 2). Cute music but more diversity would be good. nice graphics.
really cool fighting system. game lacks a story and would definitely benefit from a bit more complexity. Some ideas are extra moves that you can buy, a money system, items that can be used in game and perhaps weapons/clothes/armour. Definitely worth investing some extra time, good work!
