Re: Idle tag, obviously that's not true, worse, it's negative for puzzle and minimalist tags. Click the + Add Tags and you can 'vote' on the tags. Doing so will adjust what tags kongregate shows (+ this comment so others know).
This thing could really use some instructions, up and down arrows control the very bottom bar with things moving from the left, have the arrow hit the bubbles and it builds the bonus...
Should expand a bit, if you clear all the balls, it should release more balls, but also the various stats should reduce every time so you will definitely fail at some point. (Low pop size, duration, and new balls that come in... mutliplier should probably remain)
The long delay to start a new game is super annoying. I feel like if you full clear, then more balls should release. A full clear for 4700 vs a nice long chain for a few million back to back and the chain left a lot on the table seems wrong. Throw an explosion in a corner and hope for a long chain.
I'm gonna say it, omgnoob cranks out a ton of games with potential, and dumps them kind of unfinished... but this one, I'm nearing the end and I do not hate it, the score here represents peoples distrust of the dev, not the quality of this particular game.
Definitely some kind of 'heat map' for how heavy the various sides of the planet are would help a lot since it's probably the most critical thing to get right as far as I can tell.
Income from apprentices does not appear to increase your research points, I don't know if it's intentional but seems wrong. Only clicking seems to matter.
I got a black screen as well, hitting reload got it going. Probably should show the controls on screen. Probably should either autofire, or at least fire all weapons at the same time, 4 keys at the same time is too many to reliably work. It was not clear that you could pick up the dead enemies, I flew through several and didn't see anything happen so ignored them, including some I discovered I could get. It's a promising start though.
I've spent a lot of time building this, but not nearly as much in testing, at least with regard to the version posted on Kong. Let me know if you have trouble, and I will try to fix it as soon as I can.
Putting an icon over your characters so that you can tell at a glance what job they are in would be very helpful. It would also be nice if maybe their rarity would display on their icon. It also strikes me that prestiging in this game is incredibly slow paced but you kind of hit a dead end progression wise very quickly.
next version will have a letter on the worker indicating what job they are currently in. Background gives you a rough rarity view at a glance, and I'm close to being able to swap workers on the bottom which mean you can sort them into rarity, or teams or however you want. I'm gonna be trying to add more content this week to help with progression slowing down.
I like the game so far, feels like it's on the right track in a lot of ways. The toy store icon honestly looks like a dick drawing though... I mean... it probably is only coincidence but I can't figure out what exactly it's meant to be... not a rocket ship, not an upside down slingshot, not a cross bow... ?
Use box scraps to upgrade the 'level' of the lockbox, use key to open box, keep hammer, rinse/repeat until out of keys (generally you get 1 or two new boss kills per hammer level, and opening a boss room gives you enough scraps to level the lockbox again). Suddenly I am flying up rooms instead of being stuck on room 20ish. Out of keys, hit the mirror, do it again (get the perks to start with more keys).
I hope to add more features to mix this up a bit. Being an incremental game this is kind of hard to wrap my head around, can;t go about it with the basic idea of a typical RPG leveling system.
I want to love this game, but the speed of all the animations is just so slow that I can't tolerate playing more than a few fights. They'd need to be at least twice as fast and maybe as much as 4x.
A way to go back 'up' a level when crafting would be awesome, or just for the crafting system to know to break/merge items more automatically. It's really annoying closer to the end of the game having to click so many times, make an item, and have to click back through to the level you were at before the last item you made.
Easy way to get a high kill chain, don't collect pixels. If you don't collect pixels you don't level up and introduce nastier harder to dodge enemies. The kill chain badges were the hardest to get for me.
V2 will have small explanations for each feature! Thank you for playing :) Edit: Has been adressed and changed!
