Here are my scores. I got them legitimate. Total was 3014 (I got lucky and increased my score about 30 in the last try) Light: 1-113; 2-91; 3-116; 4-100; 5-120; 6-132; 7-79; 8-81; 9-81; 10-38; 11-110; 12-101; 13-98; 14-153; 15-76; 16-93; 17-122; 18-53; 19-53; 20-48. Dark World 1-89; 2-34; 3-61; 4-49; 5-62; 6-79; 7-40; 8-88; 9-82; 10-28; 11-84; 12-76; 13-31; 14-61; 15-41; 16-65; 17-48; 18-37; 19-76; 20-25
The game is really good, but way too difficult. I have defeated every enemy and always had a flawless victory since game 1, and even so, I get my ass kicked in some fights. I imagine someone who didn't do the same won't stand a chance.
Anyone having trouble on hard: for each five medals you win, you start the game with some powerups already. It is relatevely easy to get ten medals, and that makes hard much easier. Starting with ten medals, plus not missing powerups, makes the game much less difficult.
Game controls fail too much. Played without any of the accessories (hat, monocle), and it helped a lot. Only that way I was able to get the badge. So turn everything off, it may make things a lot easier
Tip for impossible badge: use the pacifist handicap, and the three handicaps that makes your gun weaker. Even though they don't have any effect, they will give you a high score. Then, take the two extra lives cheats, plus the three cheats that slows the enemies shots. All you have to do is finish the stage and you will have at least an star award. This is very useful against though bosses. Oh, you can also use Anna and her Banana costume, to have more invincibility time. All together, you just have to dodge really slow shots, you can be hit four times, and each time you are hit you have enough time to find a good spot.
Day 23. I have enough beetle eggs to create an army of pets; I have money to buy an army; I also have enough wild berries to feed both armies.I have slain enough beetles to cover the island with their bodies, and have enough fire shards to put all this bodies, the island and even the sea on fire. I trained enough to be one of the greatest warriors alive; but I still didn't find 20 beetle shells!!!
Great RPG. Really worth the time. It is a shame it got too big, because I guess that everybody would like to play more and more. One of the best games in Kong, in my opinion. You gave a lot of attention to small details, like what people say. Oh, and congratulations for drawing with the mouse. That must have also tested your sanity and patience.
Hard games are not the same as sadistic games. This one is much closer to the second. The concept is really interesting and well thought, but the development turned it into a sadistic game. The rotating scenario in the infinite mode can also induce sickness, especially when you reach a high speed, which can be a extra enemy that no one wants to fight.
The game is really nice, the commands are really well made, and it has big improvements from the last GemCraft as Assassination167 pointed out. There is a major problem in my opinion, however: the game is too repetitive for its length. You have 169 levels, you have some different modes and ways to customize them. Even so, after the 50o time playing, you start to get a repetitive feeling. No new enemies or enemies habilities, no new objectives, no new powers: changing starting gem, or enemy wave order, or a little configuration in the map is not enough for 169 levels, even with the customization.
For who wants the impossible badge: the obstacles don’t come entirely at random. They come at random, but in some patterns, for example one duelist and two farmers. Once the first obstacle comes, slow down until you see or hear the next ones. This will help with the voice overlapping and with the keys failing (if you are too fast and comes too close from an obstacle, your key might fail). So in level five, speed up to escape, but as soon as you hear or see the first obstacle, remove the key and get ready: once you found which pattern is it or the next obstacles, speed up again.
Why I die in the game: 20% lack of reflexes or mistake; 30% because a key failed; Around 30% for mistaking voices, since they are really similar, including what they say and the intonation; and 20% because voices overlap and I can't understand what was said.
This game is difficult for the wrong reasons.
@xmanx89 collect everything, including scrolls, before you call the last boss. This will helps. Also, if there are fewer towers to upgrade, the game will also run faster. You can defeat the boss then only using terror, if you have enough mana, even without collectibles and without too much difficulty.
Maybe this game isn't the game the majority of people here on kongregate like. Maybe this game has a paid items, which some people don't like. But either way, we have to respect that some people like this kind of games, and therefore it deserves badges and a place on kongregate. And about paying, it is not mandatory, only for those who like and want a boost. And developers have families too, they have the right to earn honest money like everybody. More than that, they need it to keep making games for us. If you don't like this game, great, it is your right. But remember to respect those who do in your comments. From someone who also doesn't like this kind of game very much.
I have seen a lot of games exactly like this, the same idea, all the same, only different names and history, sometimes different layout. And in all of them, all comments saying the game is a copy, is repetitive, or whatever, get rated down, no matter how good the person explains himself or herself. And comments like "amazing", or simply "I love this game" get rated up. I wonder if developers pay or instruct someone to rate the comments in these games, perhaps their staff.
This game is difficult by the wrong reasons. Making the controls super sensitive plus a slippery surface and a fast character = difficult and disappointment. You simply can't control the llama properly, because you need a super precision for jumps, for going right, left, everything. There is a human sensibility to time, the minimal time a human can notice. Sometimes the time difference in pressing a button and doing a good jump or a bad jump seems to be inferior or really close to this amount of time. Many times I couldn't notice how I pressed the buttons differently, yet I died and the other time I survided.
The problem with this kind of game is not that it asks money from you. Developers must also it, and it is alright if they want to profit. More than alright, it is fair that they have some profit with the game. Problem is the amount of money they ask. In order to play this games in a decent way, I must spend the same amount of money I would spend to buy a videogame or computer game, or about fifty good games for cell phone. When you put it this way, it becomes nonsense to spend money on the game.
Warning to everybody in later campaing levels: no matter how strong you are, lag can kill. So be careful with it. You might want to close other programs in the pc when lag starts. For campaign mode, just buy 5 gunmen and the uzi. After that, hold on your money and two rocket towers. Buy the shotgun for using against the cars, (you might have to use your uzi against the cars in one level, so be careful), then buy the other rocket tower. Keep upgrading your three towers, gunmen and repair man. Save some money for the minigun. And that is pretty much it. This is just a general guide line for going through first waves: you must go on after that, and you might also have to change somethings depending on your playing style.
How to beat the game: distribute masks in infected states, while you save money for vacination; keep the distribution, but save money; when vacine is ready, start with the infected states, then go to the nearby states, and so on; be careful not to get out of money, the money you saved should last until you finished the infected states, all at the same time; after that, go three or four states at a time. Quit the state when 90%-95% of population is immune and go to the next one; for extreme mode, I found easier the open goverment, and instead of masks I used the campaign, it was cheaper and more effective.
This game is hard at the wrong way, in alien campaign. You get the feeling there is nothing you can do to win sometimes. The enemy comes with better weapons, your AI sucks really hard (they simply don't kill the enemies and die a lot, so you end up playing against them), and the enemy shots at you before entering the screen, reacting in a computer speed. It loses the fun at this point.
Very nice comment, well said! To the top with you!
