Damn new keyboard ! can't press 3 buttons at the same time, if I keep 2 notes pressed, I cant click the arrows anymore :( At 50 achievs atm, but can surely get more :P
I have to admin that even though it is "inspired" after many many other similar games, it would be a game I would play. But in 10 minutes I got 5 or more connection errors, and releasing a game before it's properly tested is not good on the long run as it creates bad reputation.
Awesome game and very creative levels. Managed to win a level just by skipping 6-7 turns - and this is a good thing. Some levels should be about fun, not just tactics and banging your head against the wall. 5/5
Awesome game, your goal of player not being bored while watching towers attack was succesful. I was so concentrated I found myself in minute 12 in endless mode without even noticing :). Definately 5/5. PS : I'm not a sucker for great graphics, but some improvements would be welcome, maybe in version 2 :)
4/5 because it lacks some important features : 1. save progress 2. replay older levels / replay after. Hopefully the sequel is on its way, and maybe a bit longer (and harder) than this one.
ah ... another stack em up game. Hmm ... it's called imperfect balance, pretty weird, but seems similar to perfect balance. Damn it all my blocks fell of the screen, I'll have to redo all my weird balancing ... wait ... perfect hit ? a shitload of extra points ? oooooooooh
@kevin_saz:Best wins = 4 white lines, 2 below and 2 above (my personal best was 75x the base score, about 175k XP on field A2 :P)
@j00d : Best combo is actually Lime - Yellow - Purple. You can get to something like 5 hits, 5x dmg and with the reduced armour you can really destroy those pesky summons with 50+ armour :P
Tips for swarm waves : 1. try to have at least 2-3 towers in good positions (so they can hit the mobs multiple times) 2. Chain hit towers help a LOT 3. Traps tend to be useless (poison traps may help) 4. Try to have a fairly high amount of mana before a swarm wave, swarm mobs can be banished easily, so no problem is 5-10 mobs pass 5. At lvl 38 I unlock chain hit gems and build a lvl 4 chain hit gem with the starting money - this way I get a decent start and can build those helpful chain hit gems :)
For the people that complain about the not free premium features : consider the premium content the developers thank you for a donation. I wouldn't change a thing about this game, at every new release I wonder what could they improve, the previous one was perfect, but it seems you guys found a way. Thank you GIAB for many wasted (but very fun) hours while playing Gemcraft.
Ok maybe I am blind, but I started the game and got the tutorial message from kelly : "Take it, it's on the house". I can't find anything clickable / draggable ...
STEP 1 : get to level 2, and farm until you can constantly finish level 5. Upgrade multi-shot, attack speed, dmg and move speed. STEP 2 : try and finish level 5 without getting hit getting double the points (about 32k) - if you have fully upgraded bullets, stay at the bottom of the screen and move when the boss comes. STEP 3 : Start upgrading lasers starting with "secondary". At level 3 secondary you should be able to do lvl 7 while standing 2-3 centimeters below the top margin of the game window, and get 60k points. STEP 4 : continue upgrading secondary, you will eventually be able to make level 8 without getting hit (that's 100k), and finally level 13 - but you will have to dodge a bit to do it. On level 13 you get about 600k points. Upgrade hp / regen / shield only when you can't get through to the "farming" levels. Upgrade speed and ally's as well, they are very good. Vote up to keep this guide around.
Old concept with a new interpretation is not plagerizing. It's a very nice game, with nice features, really worth wasting time on. Vote this up if you think the game needs achievements !
Awesome game, congratz for taking an old idea (worm series) and moving it into space :P The AI is actually realistic, it ranges from incredible shots to killing 2 of its own worms in one shot. Definately a 5/5
