I think there are 3 things to be done in a third part of this game.
1st: Set up a Multiplayer game (Online game).
2nd: More levels for story mode and more gene proteins with this
3rd: Put a 7th type of characteristic (Something that would increase the cell max capacity, for example)
Great game, but there's still one thing left, The Æther.
Alchemists wanted 4 things, one is impossible to make here, Other was make Gold, another was the Elixir of Life and to make them, they must had found the Philosophal Stone.
And there was 5 natural elements: Air, Water, Fire, Earth and their fusion in one, Æther (Aether). The salt, sulfur, mercury and other things was the way to create the Philosophal Stone. Still a great game 5/5
