First impressions critique incoming:
The game heavily reminds me of another quality idle/incremental game, "Death Squad", however this one seems to cater on a simpler, direct approach on its upgrade systems. What worries me more however, is despite the description talks about "being able to collect mountains of loot", the apparent 18 slots in the inventory makes me wonder if it's going to be alright to idle-run the game for a longer while.
High props for the pretty graphics, I give to that.
This be just my opinion, but I think The Underworld is a rather poor choice of location for the new Monster Box drops, given the tendency of the Beholder boss minions to glitch out and replicate infinitely, wrecking a what could've been an idle Moster Box farming run.
@skycriesx
I could also feel the non-existent drop rates affecting me too, and as early as Ascension level 3 even then. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the character levels in the active party (mine has hit clvl 200 already). And why am I staying at AL3 you might ask? Right now, to grind and dump those shards to a soulbound Looter Ring which I have no plans to combine.
I just realized that for a space-themed game, this game lacks some asteroids, if you don't count the occasional single rock streaking through the background. Then an idea hit me: What if on every X,10 sectors, instead of enemy ships, asteroids would spawn, and to progress you need to destroy 200 or more of them. Ans since they're asteroids, you'd really want to destroy them quick, or your squad's gonna get riddled with space rocks.
A few suggestions for more statistics/achievements:
- numbers of "manual" kills (either by clicking enemy ships or the auto-mouse cursor)
- numbers of times any special ability is utilized
- amount of Resources accumulated from selling weapons
Hmm. I liked it better when the enemies were drifting back and forth all over their side of the screen. Now that each of them are fixed at a certain point on the field the battle looks boring now, but that's just my opinion.
Also, since this is categorized as an "idle" game, Shouldn't the special powers have a toggle function as well?
I'm not really sure if Stamina has a useful function, since from what I have observed, starting from below 101 health, your speed would get capped to [N times ten of your current health] and since the upgrade for Stamina states "it reduces your speed loss over time" and NOT health loss over time, so...
Other than that, this game is a solid 5/5.
Well, the game isn't so forgiving that when you spawn back after death, you only have like one second or less invulnerability period to decide where to go for safe spots. And there's the matter of player hitbox; I'm confused whether it's just the crosshair of the player or the whole body itself is the hitbox.
@pReamble
Sniper tower in this game works by shaving off a percentage the creep's CURRENT health as damage (as opposed to taking a portion of MAXIMUM health as damage). So this "Sniper Tower" (when fully upgraded) is useful against undamaged creeps, then it gets useless when a creep is in near death.
Good game overall, although IMO the pickup items needs to be more visible, and additional special once-per-level pickups (like temporary cloaking/invulnerability/infinite ammo, multiple damage/score) are needed.
This game is similar to Choplifter.
PROS
- mouse targeting (compared to the front-only shot in the original game)
-upgrades
-the fact that the Fuel gameplay element is absent
CONS
- that weird "turning around" animation for the chopper
4/5. Good game, however, it can still be improved.
all bonuses are addictive
