The deep theological issues this game brings up may be heartier fare than many Kong users are used to. Personally, after finishing the game, I feel like a better person; a person who may understand more fully the spiritual machinations from whence life on Earth hath sprung.
If the "novel-book" is anything like the game, and does get published, I'll bet it'd be filled with great illustrations, witty dialogue, and would be FALLING APART AT THE SEAMS
A few suggestions for an already 5/5 game:
1. Leadership (ability to recruit new heroes) should upgrade as you level. Exploring all of
the unit types is essential to mastering the game, but you have to grind a bit to get at the
different heroes. It's no fun having to postpone leveling the other skills.
2. It would be very helpful if there was a visual shorthand to show how upgraded each unit has been during battle.
3. The items (loot) are a drag to keep track of. IMO, there are too many in general- there could be a fifth less and the game wouldn't suffer for it.
Thanks for all your continued work to improve the game! It's incredible!
$15 is a great deal for one of the raddest platformers to come out since the snes/genesis generation. Cavanagh is a deserving entrepreneur -- support!!! Dont look Back and VVVVVV are probably the best flash games I've ever played, and Cavanagh's bid for income is way respectable. If I made games that well I'd want to be able to have financial independence enough to continue making such rad games without corporate influence or dependence, and that's what indie flash gaming is all about. This is the real deal, don't take it for granted.
