Once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it especially once the multipliers started going .
The learning curve is brutal though and I imagine a lot of players might not play until that point.
The difficulty combined with the slow pace of progression really took away from the "one more play" aspect of this. Especially because you had no choice over your next upgrade and there was very often no real improvement (definitely different but better) compared to the current equipment.
The rate of unlocking new stuff does pick up once you've gotten used to the game a bit. As more customization options are unlocked, you'll be able to find a combination that suits you fairly quickly, and I want to make a game where your skill gets better rather than simply grinding and upgrading a statistic.
