@smallfarm: Apocalypstic is meaning to attack enemy production buildings because it is not funny that the enemy can backstap you and you can not. I must agree with Apocalypstic but it is possible its just at the beginning and later an other unit or upgrade can attack those.
Begin with one Goliath Tower, add some walls (depends on the map), continue with 1 Shockwave Tower, add a secund Shockwave Tower (one at beginning from the wall-path and one at the end of the wall-path), last add a Ion Cannon and you kill everything! Schockwave Tower is the key to win this, because their very high AoE Damage and their cheap upgrades. Make the wall-patch as long as possible around the Schockwave Towers.
When you think it can not become worse, it turns out to be you are mistaken!
Reached level 18 with big sacrifies and luck with the map (I guess the fields influence damage output somehow) and then i just realised that I do not have enough catapults (360 money) to kill all those enemies with splash damage... not funny to be forced to build splash towers only...
later on you need the star bonus but score grinding is annoying because it is too high. you do not get enough score from kills to grind 70.000+ and hours of gaming pass in the boring levels with just idle only to get 2 more stars, thats not funny!
the towers need a bit more balance, if you build them you already have lost. Rocket tanks counter them too easily and are much cheaper to build, in add rocket tanks are very useful against other tanks too...
good game, but the first few levels it exactly tell you each step what you have to do... more levels will solve that problem and let the player experiment on its own! The last level then is extremely hard because very slow production because not enough sugar. You can hardly defend against all those enemies! Very good is the learning and realistic. It becomes very soon too boring and not much replay motivation after beating once. Maybe with a bit more upgrades/buildings/enemies/ressources it can solve that problem.
Bunker as example is useful, but not balanced. at level 30 it just kills 5 enemies with such a slow reload rato that i could cry... It is much more effective to use bombs and upgrading money!
not bad, but where is the motivation to play again after wining? It is like a board game but with just an AI it is no fun to repeat beating it. Make it a 2 Player game and it may be much better!
somehow i do not get the feeling that the enemies increase in strength, it becomes boring after you have maxed out fast towers speed with some upgrades in damage...
interesting secrets those towers have, but often before you reach them you are already dead... it may need a bit balancing with the expensive costs from the upgrades, maybe with more gold from kills...
About the crash problem: Go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and download an older version of adobe flash player. I have tested it with version 10.0.45.2 which is in the version 10 download archive! Version 9 does not work because it is too old. The auto installer is within the archive when you chose a version from there. Nothing you can make wrong and after finishing the game just reinstall the newest flash version again.
Just a 1/5 from me because it is a demo!
It will crash when you reach the second island and i have tested with IE, Firefox and on the publisher website. The download is a 60 minute trial and you have to pay for the full version.
