After playing for a while - I think I'm up to nearly 300 game days - the waiting part doesn't bother me. I play out my turns a couple times a day and the anticipation makes the game more worth while.
The fact that you need to pay to get the higher items still bothers me however. It's a rather cheap tactic to not only require players to buy a great deal of recipes, but also require tokens for the ingredients to make the items. It wouldn't be such an issue if there were another way to acquire the token items and ingredients or if it were easier to suggest non-token items to customers.
Edgebee should really STRONGLY consider changing this portion of the game. I'm going to keep playing, but I absolutely refuse to pay for anything with tokens. If this becomes as issue as my level grows I will sadly quit this game.
I feel like this game is good, but could be so much better. I think buying tokens to get extras is unacceptable. Upgrades should be based on in-game coins only. Also the day limit is annoying. I understand what the makers were going for, but it doesn't work. If you want a limit maybe 20 or 30 turns per day would be better. Also the guild tax is silly. I have not joined a guild because I realized it was bankrupting me in every game I did.
