Most of the people I'm playing are usually cool enough to see their battles through to the end.
I'd never bail on a defeat and I'm never going to make a profile. How optimistic of them.
Quit your badge moaning people.
With a game like this the odds are high. It's never an instantaneous thing and you don't want the badges to be rushed or unbalanced.
Give it a week. Beat the game in the meanwhile then..... "Awwwwlrighhhh" when the badges pop up and you instantly get them.
Gauntlet one was pretty easy.
I would recommend the panda and bear in mind that the specials spawn over time not down to enemy deaths so if your struggling wait for a level where there's an enemy who cant hit you and let him live for a while. Max out your health with healing spells and fill up on decent specials before the next wave.
