How do you see Purrks? I promoted a disciple and have no idea how to check. Also I have 23 homes built, but can't purchase blueprints which says 18 homes built. Used to be 45 so I'm wondering if one number got changed and the other didn't. Thanks!
Hey there, the Purrks menu is kinda hidden to be honest, what you need to do is click the icon of the Assessment Center to open it. And about Blueprints: I've changed the condition of when it is possible to buy this upgrade. It costs less than before, which is true, but it can only be bought when the pop cap is not reduced after buying it, meaning you'll need more houses than the upgrade actually costs. I hope this helps :)
I think the core of the game is pretty good. It's fun and I'm enjoying it, but there should probably be more thresholds/a reason to do a rebirth that lasts longer than 1 second. It makes activated boosts and mining pretty useless basically from the start. You always want to just reset asap, and I think that's bad design. I want a reason to do longer rebirths/prestiges and there just isn't one. Dev is active though, so here's hoping!
New favorite build: Green Natalie. Foes Drop Bombs, Swords, Shields, More Items, Attack +15%, Extra Bomb 1/2 Auto Bombs. Bullet Speed +30%, One Heart, Homing weapon. Pretty much guaranteed to star any non-boss level. Pretty good vs bosses too.
For the impossible, I've been using two opposite builds. Mostly, I play pacifist -30% bullet speed with 2 extra hearts. But for when dodging is hard I go really item heavy. Foes drop bombs, stars, swords, shields, more items, +30% attack, Extra bomb 1+2, auto bombs. One heart + 30% bullet speed. Then it's a lot of luck on getting shields to win.
I think Sebastian got nerfed too far in the other direction now. I went from 10 minutes/disperse (pre-change), to 1 minute/disperse (post-change), to 2 hours/disperse (post-tame). I need level 2685 to disperse and even with 31m Ally, and 146m Sebastian, the experience is about 1%/mob. This is definitely the slowest it's been. Also, it seems like my disperse is at 95% of max level instead of 85%. Max 2827

The developer said that if you could beat the game on insane in one day then it couldn't be called insane, referring to the time it takes to acquire energy upgrades. That might be true, but the challenge should be in the difficulty of the levels, not in the grind. Most (if not all) levels on hard/insane are completely impossible without upgrades, which isn't a challenge of your skill as a player but of your dedication to grinding. If you want the insane levels to require max upgrades, that's fine. Set the timers/whatever to make it required, but if you do that make it so that getting the max upgrades isn't the challenge.
At least the game doesn't force you to grind before it's the least bit enjoyable. Also, it's good that the costs for upgrading don't skyrocket earlier, while the prize for getting first goes up enormously.
