@MistyNight re: danger level. The danger level in the status bar at the top takes into account the fact that any idle people will contribute to defense. Inside of a defensive building, the danger level indicates what it will be only considering the people on guard duty. Check it out yourself - add enough people to guard duty to get 5% danger, then watch as you assign scouting tasks to idle workers, and the danger level in the status bar will increase up to 5%.
Based on my samples, it is better to ship tea on time than let happiness drop in order to get more time for sell opium. More happiness in Britain means bigger tea orders, and the tea shipped appears to garner more points than opium sold.
Having trouble? Don't build any units. Start with a watchtower, but don't get the telescope. The tower will get rid of the swordsmen, but leave 1 or 2 archers out of range. Upgrade all buildings while the archers plink at you. The computer won't send any more units until the archers are dead. As soon as you're ready (say, after everything is upgraded, and you have cannons), get the telescope, then start building top-tier units. I suggest even numbers of high priests & generals.
What is the definition of a pentagram? Is it a 5-pointed star? Is it a star in a circle? Is it a star in a pentagon? Is it a star in a pentagon in a circle?
I've drawn it using straightedge & compass to get 72 degrees exactly, and it won't accept it.
Is picking up good polish. I agree with the comments that there should be weapon and enemy sounds. If you can do something to reduce the lag when playing with a fully upgraded laser, that would be nice.
