The game isn't that bad, it's nice little crazy racing game of which you have plenty on Kong - and frankly, it's always fun to play new one. It's not always bad thing to eat same dish served differently - especially, if you happen to like its taste. What bugs me though, is that crazy rampage physics doesn't really fit the theme you've choose. Those crazy Monster Trucks feel almost weightless, rolling all over the place and ending with "boom" each time the track decides to launch you into air just for sake of having laugh at you, when you inevitably plant your face into the ground. For me it takes half the fun out of it, as crushing things doesn't really feel right.
Not bad, but needs tooltips, tooltips everywhere. What tavern do? How that happiness slide work? Where is that happiness and what it gives? Also, at the resources, maybe a small number next to them, presenting growth/decrease? I've built storage and now have to work totally blind, cause I've got no idea about any of my stuff. Hell, I'd be glad with having the number going green/red respectively, cause visiting the city hall for actual numbers was building the immersion.
Seriously, with runs streamlined as they are now, with only few clicks and a second to "get back on horse", a little box in dojo, that, when ticked, would choose for you random available ninja for next run would be perfect.
Logic game with a plot twist. Now I saw everything. 5/5 and that's only because I'm at the end of scale, there's plenty of reasons to give it 1 or 2 more stars.
"Well, I guess we can go for that kid with a snow cone, if he'd threw it right onto nanomachines... it's a long shot, but worth trying". Seriously, I could feel for Alice, with awwww, c'mon already! Obscenely well narrated story with nice execution.
How about adding a checkbox in dojo, for going into mission with randomly chosen ninja? Would add some variety. And maybe store the high score and highest combo you've scored with each of them in a roster.
I'd like the ability to sell items or some kind of addition to Multiplier Booster. Right now, aside of boring quests (use 10 times means you have to do ten runs, without forgetting to activate it, it becomes "run-into-wall quest" at one point) and a badge it has no use. It could change if there would be kind of exp system for your ninjas - reaching next highscores would change the appearance for example, or add some basic skills, like starting the run with one of scrolls active. Thunder scroll would also need some thought, maybe make ogres worth 10x?
It would be nice if other ninjas would be unlocked with hi-scores instead of bought with cash. Right now collecting points kind of loses purpose once you got up to achievement.
Back to game after long time - bought it when it was still warm ;) - and I'm amazed by new look! Only thing is that downloadable version won't work with 64 bit Windows. Oh well, will stick with kong.
Incredibly addicting, even if strongly luck based. Have the "one more turn", or I should say, one more city syndrome - probably caused by unlockable content, which I, so far, absolutely love. Additional plus for great music.
The world of Hood is most beautiful and mysterious, thank you very much for amazing adventure. It's going to be hard to once and for all take off the hunter boots and leave the sword behind, so I hope the future hides a way for us to wear them again.
For me, this game is nowhere close to the games, in which you'll spent hours and then say "woah, that was great", oh no. You'll get frustrated or bored after few first runs... only to get back some time later, because deep inside, you know you can make that jump. And that's why I absolutely love it, with solid 5/5 stars. It's "faster, stronger, higher", but with improving yourself, not buying few pixels formed into squares.
Oh, come on, wasn't talking about haddocks, those events gives you plenty of chances with time for two-three laps. But there's a race with robots, in which you have to hit all of them and cause of time, you have to do it within 1-1,5 lap, and there they are, almost at the end, standing arm to arm, impossible to be hit at once :P those are not no-fun-at-all, it's for-f's-sake-49-again!
Okay, that was fun, although I had to wait for almost end of the season, to join really competitive racing - probably my fault, I was trying for gold each race. The close-calls, while racing door to door, gives the magnificent feeling and I love that game for them. Cone hitting was also fun, following the track is nice challenge, while only from time to time. Random objects hitting, was no fun, especially with aiming for gold - you just have to pray for triplets and doublets on track and I felt that getting best score was completely luck dependent. Still, these was fun and nice racing hours, solid 4/5
Okay, it's nice, but I've already encountered few problems. Rinn's second skill just raises cost with level, but maybe something happens with it on further levels, so don't know about this one. Recruiting happens by crystals, but seems to be limited by credits - I wasn't able to recruit for 500cryst until I had 500 creds again. Doctor Teuthida would be awesome, but his skill is dealing totally random damage, including 0, not 6-12.
Hey thanks DNLH! Ive fixed the Crystal / Credits mix up and the Teuthida attack had a bug. Thanks for letting me know. Rinn's power restores full health so as your characters get more heath and energy it restores more. Really appreciate the bug report!
All three parts sum up in great, beautiful story, very well told - or you'd rather should say drawn. Few simple lines of text was a great addition, they don't brake anything, rather keep the story on right track (come on, he even dresses exactly the same and with witches you can't exactly tell the passing of time).
Thank you for advices, we are working on that! With next update will be some improvements!
