I used Ashi and switched out, incorrectly thinking she would not get intercepted. When she did get intercepted, I mistakenly thought it was because her opponent possessed the Oragami Crane. The fact that the Crane does not influence intercepts was lost on me; I thought that intercepts were considered attacks when they were successful.
I know now that she does not possess the ability to switch without the possibility of being interrupted, and that intercepts are not considered attacks.
I also understand that interrupts are things like Hypnotic Stare, Open Palm, and Knee Bash. Thanks for making me feel dumb enough to read up on it -- I guess sometimes a dunce cap is just what the Dr. ordered.
The words "interrupt" and "intercept" closely resemble each other; is it that far-fetched to think someone with three matches under their belt might get the two confused?
