The quest description's scout bar still isn't showing flying correctly. The "Grandpops" normal quest showed nearly every wave was flying, when really only a handful were.
It's better to leave Zombies at level 9 rather than upgrading them to level 10. Level 10 gives no stat bonuses, but it makes them cost 10 mana more.
There's also a lot of little quirks I'm noticing where a unit will gain in one stat, then lose that gain in the next level, and it will then shoot back up significantly a bit later in the level chart. I suspect there were some typos when the data was getting entered.
There also seems to be a dearth of weaponry; unless the blacksmith just randomly never put the others up for sale for me, I only saw two grades of weapons, compared to four grades (that I can remember) of armor, which made it a bit more difficult to get through the middle portion of the game.
Having beaten the game, my biggest complaint was that item prices in the shop were too high, combined with generally worthless drops from most of the stages. In the entire Graveyard section, I only received 3 or 4 low-grade swords... over 10 fights... and that wasn't particularly atypical. I found myself having to grind the living bejesus out of Blob Bonanza and, later, Land of the Giants, as they were the only areas that had decent drop rates. And it STILL often took about a dozen trips to be able to afford a single item from the shop! Furthermore, once you are past the Campsite, the enemies cease to drop anything comparable to what is found in the shop; it would be nice to get at least the regular equipment and maybe a Superior item or two, rather than still getting items you could buy on your first trip through the Campsite while you are grinding your way through the Graveyard.
Also, the Engrish is pretty bad in this game, though far from being the worst I've seen. I really wish more people would get someone to give a second look at their dialogue before making a game public. :(
Temporus has a very misleading description; it makes it sound like it is an upgrade to the missile turrets which causes the missiles to slow enemies in addition to damaging them, which would have been so useful as to be broken. What it *actually* does is let you place a small cloud on the field which slows down most enemies to a crawl while they are in it. IMO, much, much less useful than what it was advertised as.
Is it just me, or do you take *MORE* damage from the same enemies as you level up? I'm using death gates to level up a lot, and I notice that the enemies they create seem to do one more point of damage to me with every level I gain.
For the love of god, people, signing petitions for badges does NOTHING. If the game doesn't have Kongregate's API (which many games don't), then there is no way for them to get badges. Stop spamming your idiotic petitions everywhere!
Nice game, but it can definitely use some more variety in the enemies, and a bit more storyline wouldn't hurt, either. A cheaper method of healing (other than dying or leveling up) would be nice. Some of the bugs are real problematic, such as the one that stops you from moving unless you interact with something like a door; also the one where an enemy will freeze in their death animation, and it leaves you stuck in combat mode even if it was the last enemy on the level.
Yeah, I give up on this. It just seems like you can never get much money (you get pitiful amounts from most victories), the enemy decks are pretty frequently broken now (I've seen 3 dragons and 2 rare weapons in a single deck, and Lord only knows what else that hadn't been played yet), and the slot machine thing hardly ever seems to give cards. I might just be unlucky, but it seems like it's a lot more than that.
Was there some kind of update today? If not, the deck generator hates me; if so, then it's just about broken the game. I have to play a single random deck today that has NOT had rare weapons. The Owl's Eye in particular is ridiculous, since if it is played within the first two or three turns it becomes impossible for the opponent to keep a creature on the field, yet it STILL does damage to them as well as their creatures.
