This game is a masterpiece 6/5. However, three constructive criticisms: 1) Some of the fonts are hard to read, such as the glowy alien dialogs. I like the feeling they portray, but they need to be cleaned up. 2) Individual inventories can be a huge headache at times. I'd much rather have a big group inventory for sorting equipment, and smaller individual battle inventories for potions/etc. The save crystal group inventory is a good system but it's too small. I'd like to see that expanded and added to the main inventory menu. 3) The controls are awkward. With console control pads we move with our left hand and select/cancel with our right. I'd love to see a toggle option that lets me use wasd and the numpad, with more mouse functionality.
When I try to use the flashlight on the dark hallway, "it seems to be spoilt." When I try to use the tape on the TV, "it seems to be spoilt." I think this game is "spoilt." Fix it, or make it more intuitive if it's not actually bugged.
Tip: If a level becomes easy, anger the monsters (gem bomb the queue rectangle) for more mana and XP. I neglected to do this until late game, and wish I did it from level 1. It would've made the game much easier. By angering almost every monster group on level 78, along with 7 dual towers, I beat it easily (I was level 61 - the minimum level).
In the sequel, please remove the grind. I shouldn't be required to reach a certain level to pass an arcane guardian. I don't find replaying old levels, 5 times, to be very fun. Keep the feature, but make it optional for those who do.
There is just NO margin for error on higher levels. It's too easy to go from max lives to 0 in a single level. I'm barely beating these with YouTube tutorials. Stop catering to the minority by making these harder with every sequel!
The AI is severely lacking (enemies just sit around watching their friends get slaughtered?). Combat is a click-fest (higher level enemies just stun so cleave is useless). Factions are a nice idea, but they lack depth. The grind for reaching ally status is still present. Graphics are decent. Respawn rate is a little high. Lacks pause option. 3/5
For whom the ship doesn't move, make sure you're: using ActionScript 2.0 not 3.0, saving both files into the same folder, watching for case when naming files and properties.
