@Travis0901: It has to do with the coreolis effect as applied to particles in near vincinity of a large reptile. You don't see it as much today because our reptiles aren't as large... obviously.
I think what makes people upset about this game is it got badges... forcing those badge addicts to play this game. It's not exactly everyones taste, but having badges forces a lot of different kinds of people to play it. ie people who would rather shoot themselves in the foot than play a girl's game.
@Hannah__: There is nothing wrong with girl's games on this site. I totally support it (not that I'll be spending much time playing them :P ) But don't you think this game sends a few.... really bad messages haha. I mean it kind of suggests that the only way to be happy in life is to ALWAYS have the BEST boyfriend, getting ALL the candy and diamonds you want.... Life isn't really like that, unless you want to be a very greedy person. Personally, I don't care if I don't have a girlfriend every year. I have never had a valentine :/ But it's okay, because I'm just waiting for someone with a genuinely good personality. If that happens any time before I die, I would consider my life 5 stars... not 1, as this game would have you think.
...points for having boyfriends... is just absolutely stupid. i mean really... if i find the girl of my dreams the day before i day, i would consider my life to be awesome. 5 stars... but no, according to this philosophy, a good life is achieved by getting and dumping boyfriends left and right to achieve maximum happiness every year. this is the bane of american existance. love is not an industry. happiness does not follow production margins. nerdook, i loved you and every game you made. but now that i see how your mind works, i have lost all respect for you. the way you set this game up really speaks for what people consider "happiness" and "love" and quite frankly i find it disgusting. and you continue to propogate it.
@scaj: Yeah I didn't mind the comment the first time. Also, this game was not made for V-day, but some months ago, as was established earlier. Still sucks.
@Dragn616: No, spending time with people you care about is about spending time with people you care about. Sharing and giving them gifts should be that, and only that. Why do it this one day of the year? Because corporations profit from doing it that way. And I can understand you feel there is "more to holidays" than just spending money. The entire world works around that stupid idea. Capitalism is currently king. Open your eyes and you will see, consumer societies are sheep, with greedy ideas of self-greatness, that only feed the already-rich.
Believe me, I am one optimistic mofo. But the great things I hope/expect for the future are only possible if we step up, as a global society, start to cooperate, and figure things out intelligently. If we keep being lazy and allowing capitalism to dominate, we will only have more stratification and more problems.
@Dragn616: I used to think like that. Study some sociology and you'll understand that the idea of "just keep going, one more day, and everything will be better" only allows the present systems to continue to dominate. I'm talking about capitalism. The dollar owns everything, and all the ideas behind the dollar are the ones that dominate every aspect of life. Holidays are just reasons for people to spend money. Including V-day. However, this day also strikes a particular note with me, since one of the results of this capitalist crap is that everyone is so damn greedy, it's damn near impossible to find a good person, and I get depressed today.
@nerdook: Yeah sorry about the dying part I was upset. But I still feel this game is a bad idea for a lot of reasons. Just because you have a disclaimer "don't take seriously" doesn't mean it might not affect the way people think.
@Dragn616: I'm not playing it, I'm commenting.
@nerdook: I know you don't make games to piss people off intentionally. But kongregaters often like to collect badges and get points. Putting extra emphasis on playing particular games.
@nerdook, Yes, rebuild is a wonderful game. But it does not have badges, thus my current conundrum is whether or not to deepen my depression by playing this game again.
