While the gfx isn't bad, black background with bright
colors will make your eyes hurt after awhile.
Playing field leave no room for error with tight areas
to move around in.
Unless you have a precision mouse and a rock steady hand
you are going to have a nightmare getting the badge, or luck
as I had.
The shape of the ship makes vertical movement awful.
Moving up or down slightly backwards to match the speed of
the game, avoid a block just to hit the block behind
as the game decided to pause is bad.
The shaking don't help either.
Have hit blocks when the screen flash (virus becoming aware)
because the game keeps going and I can't see anything.
Blocks takes four shots, two would be fair.
Also there is no pause/quit or retry option.
Getting hit in the beginning just makes me want to quit and retry
but can't. Music is good though!
2 out of 5.
Tip: If you do get hit. Move to right as far as you can/dare and you
will atleast zoom past a few obstacles.
Level 4 is not that hard. Keep those spiders under control until the opponent have no resources left and every other turn it will not produce them and you can move around as you like.
Place the mortar truck one/two steps to the left of the bottom mountain and the rocket truck further back and you can take out one spider each turn while your annihilator clear the road.
A few bugs that can be "abused" in the game.
Upgrade cost calculations are "wrong".
I had 184 points but could still buy slowing mastery third slot (cost 150 for that), even with no prior upgrades in that category.
Total cost for each upgrade, up to third slot would be, 20+50+150=220.
Second bug is the points countdown for each "send now" wave. It counts down the same speed no matter the speed the game is in x1, x2 or x3.
Conclusion: save the money and buy several upgrades in each category at once.
(Buy all upgrades at once in one category with 2K+)
Only play at x3 speed and send new waves when you can handle it and gain more upgrade points at end of level as the counter would be higher.
Ok game but it takes around 4 seconds before you even can drop the first object.
I have been trying to beat each level "perfectly" and it is a real bother as it's impossible to avarage out higher than 990.
(Only 1st and 3rd level to me are 990 or better).
Most levels have 3 or more objects and 4 seconds are gone before you even can drop one object.
Like the first level. I can't get better than 996 but should be 1000 (or atleast 999)!!!
Even if you drop all of them on the spot best time is more or less 990. So highest possible score in the game is below 24750.
Not taking in account all levels that require timing that drop the average more.
But it looks like the timer start when the level "starts" but there is a slight fade effect before the player actually can interact that take 4-5 seconds.
Wow, Legend of Zelda intro. Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link (Zelda 2) gameplay : )
Alot in this game relate to the Zelda games, Link being a child, Shrine in the beginning, boots to walk on water,
pling and spell sfx, change color of armor, change of sword gfx, level system,
Random encounter (overworld and battle being sidescroller), pixie, learning spells and the spells themselfs,
the island beast (castle 6 boss in adventure of link, Barba).
Should maybe write in the description "Heavily inspired by the zelda games" : )
Only real difference as I see it is the graphical representation and story.
Even so, good game :)
There is a bug in the "wait for next" option.
Attack 185, Magic 250 and Armor 180, wait for next say 250 (I have 180 exp).
I chose wait for next and chose attack when exp reached 250. Next level up at 180 Attack cost 270, Magic 250 and armor 180. Now "Wait for next is 185".
Gonna wait and see what comes up next time : )
Wohoooo, got the imp badge : )
Lucky enough to just get the 4 tank once (and on stage 21 that killed me).
Helps to turn off ingame music and play your own ; )
Fun game, reminds me of portal. Gfx and music are nice. Controls drag the game down and gets more of a frustration. Spent more time focusing on surviving each jump instead of solving the levels. 3 out of 5.
Why do people keep doing these move mouse, not hit wall games. Use a sprite instead and not link it directly with cursor position but let it move. Cheat problem solved. 1 out of 5.
