Never have I been more exhilarated at getting a B grade. Bravo. Not even used a cheat yet.
Hints: If you need to move fast, don't use focus. If there are metric tonnes of bullets, use focus. Lance's sub attack is a great boss-killer. When you get the bosses down to their final stages, use any bombs you have left.
Fun little game, but needs a bit of tweaking. It's too easy just to grind to 3 shields and a sword and just run around stabbing everything. The only boss I couldn't defeat was the swords-master - because I decided to trade in my sword for a gun, and all of a sudden, I had no money left. I was stuck with 3 shields and NAN money, so I couldn't do anything. I guess that'll teach me for trying to game it...
This was only a four for me... Until I found the OTHER secret. EVERYTHING IS DINOSAURS! When you leave the cavern system, yo'll see a second, higher path. Follow that up and to the right, then drop through the crushing barriers and head left.
So some of the late game quests and stuff seem to be unwinnable.
The quest the sultan's wife gives you requires you not to have sold a unique item which you wouldn't think was unique. Given the limiting inventory and it's large sell price, that's not something to bet on.
The quest to find the sultan's son in the catacombs, or wherever, is unwinnable, because the son is stuck behind and in a wall. You may wanna fix that.
The final reset stairs don't actually do anything.
The end game battles, once you've got a good weapon, get a bit dull, because they all have massive amounts of HP, but as long as you continually circle-strafe, you're unhittable.
Just some thoughts. Fix these, I'll give you a 5. Otherwise, just a 4.
... Uhh, okay. One of the black team shotgunners just took a pot shot at me, and apparently started a marathon. We aren't allowed to continue until he gets back. He actually ran off the opposite end of the screen. Glitch?
Great game, this. Nice guns, nice modeling, reasonable controls. Only one thing I really hate about it, though, and that's the jumping. This is especially prevalent in level 9, where you have to make jumps over large gaps - miss one, and you have to start the entire level all over again. In most games this wouldn't be so bad, but in a game where you have to be really careful setting up your shots like this, it can be really frustrating. Would it be possible in the sequel to maybe have some way of lessening fall damage, or making it easier to judge jumps?
I keep getting kicked "for hacking".
I suck at the game. I don't know how to hack. I'm playing terribly, and completely legally.
