you might have lvled up, causing your xp to go back down to zero, and giving you coins for the lvl up. there are also times when the game just randomly takes away coins and xp, but don't worry, every time it happens, it always comes back in a minute or two.
however, it's an idea to use other things, for instance:
i wanted a shrieker deck, but i could only have 6.
so i used graboids and stone dragons aswell, and it's a powerful attack deck, but still (of course) has flaws.
It will be a couple days before I put in your suggestion. But I do like it.

many problems will occur in htis game, and the best thing to do first is to leave your castle, then go back in. if that doesn't work, then refresh the page. if this does not work then it's probably stuck, but just ask me and i think i can help, or at least some one else.

the rockets aren't TOO bad, (they have to wait a long time to reload) but it would help
if you wold make it so that the screen wouldn't shake.
when you are given an arena deck, they give you some cards that you MUST use, and you CANNOT remove them. this may be painfull, but think of it this way:
these are cards you don't have to provide.
just go with it and make stratigy around it.

every card has some good advantedes, (shrieker, for example),
but have weaknesses. for instance: fire shield. (becoase they have low health)
(other shields will help, but they only slow them)

In zone 600 you can fly in your protected space and not have any issues, I should put this reply in the FAQ and people have requested it before.
