I don't understand this third upgrade at all... the first two upgrades double the production speed of the items, basically doubling the amount produced. The third upgrade gives me +2 to my multiplier, which changed my farm from doing 104,688 per tick to 105,888 per tick. So I only gained 1200 gold per tick for the outlandish cost of 858,000,000 gold. The previous upgrades were cheaper and gave me a far better upgrade for the amount of gold produced...
Like a few others have already mentioned, the scaling of the auto mining vs the cost is waaay off compared to all the other items. Please fix this and it'll make the game much better.
There's a little glitch that makes the start of this game really easy. When you click on reset you get $1000 for each click that you had. So if you make like 200 clicks and then click on restart you'll begin with $200,000. So you can have a few million in less than a couple minutes.
ZettaZete - I'm stuck at level 49, which suuuucks so bad. If I reload the bar at the bottom says "Welcome to !" and as it progresses to the end, it just stops before fighting any monsters or traveling. I hope I don't lose my high score because I had to restart my character :-(
I noticed that the exp seems to go up exponentially by 2 every level. That would make the levels drop off around level 17-18 when it would take 1638400 to 3276800 exp to level. That seems like a low level to have it drop off at. I would personally like to see the exp the monsters give you raise exponentially as well, or have the exp needed each level to be multiplied by something like 1.2 instead of 2 each level. At a rate of 1.2 the levels would start to drop off between 50-60 without having to change anything else. A rate of 1.1 would have the levels drop off between high 80's to low 100's which is what most "traditional" RPG's go to in terms of levels. I hope you'd be able to work something like that in.
Here are Classes 11-20 with their equipment bonuses.
--DRUID-- Damage - All - All - Defense--
--AMBIDEXER-- Damage - Damage - All - Defense--
--ARCANE ARCHER-- Dex - Int - Defense - Damage--
--NECROMANCER-- Damage - Int - All - Defense--
--DARK KNIGHT-- Damage - Con - Defense - Defense--
--ARCHEOLOGIST-- Dex - Damage - Defense - Damage--
--COWBOY/COWGIRL-- Dex - Con - Defense - Damage--
--NINJA-- Damage - Dex - All - All--
--PIRATE-- Dex - All - Damage - Damage--
--MAGILANCEMASTER-- Damage - Con - Int - Defense--
Hope that helps some of you out on your ascensions.
This is a great concept for a game. I would like to see some sort of bonus for you character for gaining levels though, instead of just score. Like maybe the starting gold increases per level, or equipment, or even just some basic stat increases. That way instead of having to rely solely on luck to complete the game, someone could grind their way to the same goal. I would love to see how this game turns out after you've taken some of the player input into consideration and work out the rough edges. Fantastic game, keep up the work, and when you're done tweaking this one to near perfection, then get working on the sequel! It's rare to find new games these days with such raw potential and it's exciting to find one. Thanks!
We do have a sequel (or extension game) in mind, seeing the players' feedback and the experiment itself goes even better than our expectation. And lots of ideas posted in this boards too!
"You are dreaming. Wake up!"
!!!!!!!!!!
I will use my vast amounts of money to ruin that guys life. That is if I had any money. I can't seem to sleep long enough to make anything. >.<
Please reduce the chances of getting the "You're Dreaming" scene, or at least allow a way to skip it and keep playing. I've played about 20 times now and only once have I hit 10,000 dollars without being woken up.
You can now opt out of the "You're dreaming" ending. I'm going to leave the "50% chance of the man walking by" in as an added bonus, because people don't particularly love that ending.
I would love to see this game adapted to mobile, or even a version of it made available in the android market. There's not enough well made RPG's for mobile yet, and this one would be a great game to have available on the phone, as well as filling a much needed void in the RPG department. Please do if you can, I would gladly spend money to download this on the Android Market and support you as an awesome developer.
