Haven't events that auto kill you without an auto save feature is a bit frustrating. If you don't have an auto save feature, at least mention that you can die out of combat by choosing the wrong conversation options in the tutorial.
I say 4/5 only because of the inconsistency of ranged mobs. That is, every other aspect of he game is purely turn based, you can calculate your actions and that is what I enjoy. Levels with ranged mobs ruin this however as they keep hitting you. I think if they followed the same turn system as everything else it would be more enjoyable. Good Job!
I've noticed that the axis A.I. doesn't take into account board state at all. It continues to try and destroy minefields and resources I don't have and tries to reestablish supply posts when none have been shut down.
