Guide to beating this as fast as possible. Re roll until you get a fire rune. Only continue if you get the spell "meteor". Continue the game doing the following.
Spend only on
1) upgrading spell slots
2) crafting runes---> fire rune= good, everything else = bad
3) Buying heroes to fill up the slots, and the occasional upgrade to troop size.
THis should be able to get you to the 7th level where you will be stuck because the mobs come with mini bosses that beat your whole army even though all the other minions are dead.
The reason this works is because meteor scales linearly. AT level 6, it shoots 6 meteors that kills just about every minion.
is this game even possible on very hard. I can easily beat hard with every civ, but on very hard, i can only make it to year 35 and only with japan, before i get overun
i would like to make some suggestions that i think EVERYONE would want to see.
1) The health bars of bosses/ raid bosses frequently get caught under the 2 panels on the top(the panels that show your runes, cards collected and items). This is very annoying and gets in the way. Please fix (dotted lines can replace the bar)
2) There needs to be a help button in game to explain evolution etc. Not everyone reads the tutorial too carefully the first time round.
3) Allow players who screwed up with card evolutions to devolve their cards. For example, i leveled up my witch to lev 25 without evolving her right. I should be given the option to reset her to 8 level 1 cards.

its a great game but balance is way way off. For example i pseudo beat the game at level 30 due to the mages "storm gust" skill being grossly overpowered. By pseudo win, i mean kill the black dragon. The fights were so easy at the towns that i just couldnt be bothered to finish it.
There is a memory leak problem with this game. This means that the game will start lagging after a couple of minutes. The only way to fix this is to restart your browser if you feel the game getting laggy. +1 for people to see this

- save 40 coins, get tinkerer. Get everybody to learn the 5 electrocute related skills. Spam electrocute (the first ability) and auto win every match. +1 if u agree
I am going to write the strategy guide to this game. Believe it or not, I am able to complete every island in the last 2 islands below 30 seconds.
This is the strategy(which is kindda OP and broken)
max out the last tech tree ASAP so you get more gold. At the start of a level, spam the scout calvary where the enemy does not have troops. This can easily get the base down to 0% hp. After that, just wait and let the enemy units cross your side of the map. When you have low hp, just spam some engineers to keep you healthy.
Strategy 2: Liegeblade/ crossbow mounted archer combo. This combo is broken because the liegeblade is good against everything except archers, and crossbow riders mow down archers no problem. just wait for a tough unit to come close to your line and immediately build 1/2 liege followed by 3 xbows.
