Ok, so the mouse freeze up only happens when I am using the wasd keys for movement, when using the arrow keys, I can move my mouse.
I notice that if I don't move at all with wasd, then after a short moment, I can move the mouse again. In all, a minor bug, but considering where it impacts game play, a major issue.
After playing for a bit of time (Fedora 23), I get an error message that I'm out of graphics memory and possibly I need to increase the memory available to webgl. It plays nicely for the 20 or more minutes beforehand, so it seems to be a memory leak.
Hi there, this error may occur on the WebGL version of the game. WebGL is an experimental technology and you will continue to experience this error as it is with Unity WebGL. We recommend playing on Unity WebPlayer for a smoother experience while WebGL is still a Beta technology.
Why? After a few really good times with Creeper, now it has to go Unity? So long. I'll come back and play when it becomes available on my platform again (Linux).
Just goes to show you, some things don't get better with age.
Would Kong please update their templates to not display I need Firefox when I'm on linux. Microsoft has not released a Unity for Linux, and launching in Firefox won't help.
Worse, Adobe doesn't release Flash for Linux in it's latest version, so only Chrome has modern Flash support (so Launching Firefox leads to "your flash is old" type nags).
Hi, we're sorry for the inconvenience but Linux it's not properly a good gaming platform. You can play flash games because Google in Chrome automatically updates the flash player but for the Unity games you need to install the Unity Web Player plugin that does not exist for the Linux platform (not Microsoft fault, because Unity it's not a Microsoft technology). The message displayed by Kongregate it's only for who are using Chrome and cannot play Unity games because Google decided to stop supporting NPAPI plugins (the Unity Web Player is a NPAPI plugin).
We will try to release the next games also with HTML 5/WebGL support so also linux players will be able to play them. :)
Better indication of success and failure would help. You have the successes shown with text in the upper right hand, but the text is easy to miss. You don't even indicate failure explicitly, you just reset the scene.
The starting page with the weird twisting paint mix doesn't blend with the rest of the theme of the game. Pick a consistent palate of colors, and stick to it. If you want to differentiate future levels with different colors, group them and replace a set of colors with another in a consistent related way.
The music is generally fine, except for the ultra annoying part in the melody that sounds like a high pitched beeping. Too bad it's in about 80% of the sound loop.
The points system needs an overhaul. It works, but replaying the same level 100 times gives you a very high score. Need to track points per level, to make sure one doesn't just skip all other levels playing the same one 100 times.
Wave 5 never ends, browser is Firefox 10.0.11, Operating System, Scientific Linux 6.3 64 bit (the same as RedHat Linux 6.3 64 bit), flash-plugin version 11.2.202.251 (from adobe)
Yeah thats only on the keypad- wasd combination. Using either arrow keys or a mouse should make it work fine! :)
