There's a bug when upgrading equipment that really confused me at first. If you mouse over the button it says the price, say 10g. Then when you click it, the price still says 10g but it now costs 20g. You don't know until you go off the button then back on. Annoying minor detail.
First buy water temple lv2, then buy Totem. That combined with the Elf you start with is enough to beat every mission. If they are earth build elfves (wind), otherwise build totem (water). Ranged units are far too powerful in any kind of numbers.
The mission to "Squash a cruiser while on a chubby gummy" is super broken. First, it is extremely rare and requires perfect luck for there to even be a cruiser there when you land and then even if there is the chubby gummy doesn't squash it. I tried with jumping/popping the gummy and destroying the cruiser that way, and also with just landing on it without popping. Neither one gave credit. This is BY FAR the hardest mission, it's the last one I have left (and it's not one of the last ones so that's saying something), and I've gotten enough money while trying to do it that I've fully upgraded everything already.
Buy a vacuum first, then put 5x skill points into the Money skill and 1x in Time. Buy 3x Shotguns and just kill everything. Eventually upgrade into 4x EMP when you get to the point where money is worthless. Kill the final boss without needing to take any side paths or redo any levels.
Santa takes several tries, you lose the sock every time, and then once you do the rematches there's no other way to make money. Was a great game up until I had to do santa 20 times making only 20-40g a hit to get enough money for socks to try him for real. 2/5
The wait times to heal don't really matter later on once you get the health/energy regen cards. HOWEVER, it is still completely retarded to have the wait times because then every single deck has to be the same, and every single battle unfolds the same exact way. Also, there needs to be some way to see the monster's type without having to click into the combat log and scroll to the top.
I'm a big fan of card games but this is terrible. No way to turn off the terrible noise sounds, no explanation of what cards do at all, numbers on cards change randomly from when they're played, then they even change once in play.
Parting Gift is MASSIVELY broken. If anything it should be the other way around: when you kill an enemy you also deal 1 damage to their portal. As is really the only deck worth making is 60% gold mines, 30% peasants, 10% parting gift. 3 cards, no risk of getting bad draws, gg.
