I love spending time on this game… a lot of it.
One note: at first I agreed that it would be good to remove rocks to build on every square, but now I think that is unnecessary – land constraints are part of the challenge.
In addition to a use as weapons, the mining drones seem to suck up the resources from enemy miners too? At least it looks like they shrink...
Great game.
The process of crafting many sub-systems manually before a larger one is essential to the game. Yes, it may be annoying, but without it, the name "Glean" would lose quite a bit of meaning.
I agree that a holding back option would be nice, but improving their automatic behavior would be better. It's annoying that no ships venture past the shore when an enemy fleet (or just a plane!) is close to the base. Hey, I just built all of those to soak up damage instead of my base!
After agreeing with most other strategy comments here, my advice is 1) read descriptions of ship capabilities carefully, then 2) don't spread out your upgrades! concentrate your money on ONE strategy at first, e.g., missile ships OR cruisers, NOT both. great game 5/5
What do the gold balloons on the map mean? In the game there are 5 badge spaces for epic battle badges, but 4 gold balloons on the map, so it's not that... then what do they mean?
I think the battle map needs more symbols and a key (e.g. epic battle here, number of waves). I like the diversity of balloon shapes and sizes, and I like the backgrounds on the levels. Very good upgrade system too. 5/5
I especially like the paint and color options for all aircraft. The random explosions and crashes in midair are probably to show engine failure or something realistic, but I still don't like it. And you can't click on any options when there are dogfights behind the menu, if you know what I mean...
There are games with better graphics and there are games with worse graphics. The addicting part keeps you playing this game no matter what the graphics are like.
