One hell of a fun game, very reminiscent of Geometry Wars :)
Anyways, managed to get the hard badge first try. The easiest way to go about it is to continually move in a circular motion, following the edge of the map while firing at all the enemies that spawn (auto-aim helps with the strain). When the orange enemies spawn (the ones that shoot in a 360-range), stop strafing around the edge, clear the bullets in front of you and continue. This is because the orange bullets move significantly slower than the other bullets so you can't deflect them point-blank.
Just wanted to give the heads up that as much as the game is glitched up, its still possible to get the badge. Just make sure not to grab ANYTHING before you actually need it. The game glitches up when you re-enter the area with an item you already have in your inventory.
HEADS UP: This game actually loads on IE. Even though it doesn't load on other browsers, for whatever reason (probably something to do with the Flash Player compatibility) it loads on IE. Up this so people know please. :)
As fun and simple as this game is, getting the badge boils down to the typical run around in circles and let them bunch up in the middle for you to randomly kill. Meh, 3/5.
Simple guide for survival badge: 1.) Purchase Bloody Swords, Justice Bringers, Green Stingers, Ace of Spades, and Midday Riders. 2.) Max out all except Justice Bringers (put 1 in each stat for them). 3.) It doesn't matter where you set them up. Immediately move all of them to the bottom-left corner. 5.) Don't touch your units anymore and collect the coins you see. You'll be able to collect up to around 600 (100 more than needed) before it's game over. + this so others can see and enjoy the badge. :)
Amazing game! I'd just like to add one tiny suggestion. Would you mind adding a way to tell when your ship gets hit, like making it flash a color? It's rather difficult to dodge bullets in a bullet hell without being sure that they're actually dodged. Other than that, 5/5.
Fantastic game. Only two criticisms I have are to give a slight increase in magnet radius (it's a bit small even when maxed) and to tighten up boss functions (ex. they're invincible on entrance and they have a faster fire rate). 5/5 so far. ;)
For those struggling with the hard badge, it's best to start in the Far East and max out the guillotine skill. Combined with the Eclipse (purchasable in Nagoya), you can pretty much 1-hit KO all the capital champs.
As a heads up guys, you can use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to change targets if clicking to change targets becomes too difficult/annoying.
Thanks for making us, the gamers, not have to grind every single level to get the upgrades to beat the game like every other racing game. Diversity is key!
I'm glad you liked it!
