ugh things that need to be improved:
1. checkpoint lines, they look too similar to the main character, coloring them different would help.
2. Imbalanced difficulty. The game will go from easy to hard really quickly. Have a vision and stick with it.
3. Needs a button to warp back to the previous checkpoint, the animation is annoying. Also, the state should be set to a particular point that activates when you hit the checkpoint.
5. Better shop items and interface. Dragging shop items to inventory is not good, a buy button would be a better idea. Grey out items that I can't buy please. Restock items once I buy them. Also, allow me to carry more then one potion of the same type. Have me autoequip items when I buy them, instead of forcing me to also drag to equip the item. Higher tier items to buy is a great idea, as I get gold faster then I can spend it, and I was playing on hardcore.
6. Level up screen is annoying. I don't need something to pop in the middle of my screen whenever I level up, having a sound cue and a visual effect around the hero is enough.
7. Typo in kongregate instructions, I cannot Click space bar, I think you mean press space bar.
8. Consider toning down the creep waves, or at least not having them be as aggressive to the player. Creeps should only attack the hero if he is the only thing around to attack, or if he targets an allied hero/turret.
tried it, its a nice try at the conversion of a moba to flash problem is that:
1. AI is laughably bad, it is child's play to bait it into a tower. This ai makes the league of legends bots look pro. I would definitely make the ai more conservative about following people into towers.
2. Abilities say they can be autocast, but it never explains in the help how this can be done.
3. Too many abilities! There is a good reason why league of legends and other popular MOBA games only have 4 core abilities per character. (League of legends also gives the player 2 customizable abilities independent of character, but come-on!) Consider making your upgrade tree simpler by increasing the number of classes, reducing the number of abilities per class, etc. Some abilities would be better if they were moved to items, too. Also, a seperate dialog for level-up is annoying.
Hi Elioth.
1. I totaly agree that AI is weak against experienced MOBA players, but not so against others. I've seen several people playing the game (they have not seen any DOTA games before). They can hardly beat the AI.
2. Abilities can be set to autocast by doule clicking on them (that is also indicated in help as I recall).
3. Too many abilities make single player more interesting :). In multiplayer version I would surely reduce them to usual 4.
1. Instant death traps/pits are not fun. Removing those would be a good idea.
2. The wall jump controls feel off. Please fix them. I can't get past a stage in level 1-2. There needs to be a way to easily cancel hanging to a wall and not have to auto-launch, for overall smoothness.
another combo I found is that joshtick also goes well with stick brian. He also allows you to turn a character into bomb spam. be sure to use a character with good recharge to bombspam.
Some good character combos I discovered:
marcstick + stick brian - marcstick has evade, which means that his combos rarely get interrupted. Stick brian will get summoned a lot. Additionally, you can spam hit marcstick as stick brian is gonna be proced even without a full charge. I use this combo a lot and its really effective
stick james + sticorey - stick james' combo, when finished, will recharge the combos of all other allies. Sticorey provides invincibility to prevent interruptions to this tactic.
A combo that could work well, I have to try it:
Sticoroy + StAddison - Sticoroy's ultra provides invincibility to all allies. StAddison lowers the ultra tier so it can be done more often. If you can abuse this to have constant effect invincibility, it can really help your team.
ok nevermind seems there was an about button I missed. Anyways, I like the game, its a different, and unique take on the launch someone genre. It seems well polished.
