To be fair, this game is "heavily inspired" (to say the least) on Not to Scale, also here on Kongregate. Really loved that game and missed a sequel, so when I decided to try to make a simple game on my own, that was the best idea I could find.
Success is as much a matter of luck as perseverance in this game, as card draw is truly random and any loss will send you back to level 1, even after completing a section of the game. Skill can help, but not enough to truly matter if your luck is bad enough. As such, what could be a good game bogs down in the frustration of endless restarts. Not recommended.
In the interests of ending confusion around the Earth element, might I suggest renaming the Mineralogy skill 'Earth Lore' and the Imbue Stone ability 'Imbue Gem (Earth)' thus bringing them in line with the other Elemental skills/abilities? Good game, but I think this small change may aid clarity.
Solid, but unexciting. The game sets your combat formation for you and won't let you alter it, limiting tactics, and the PvP that sounds like the main focus of the game from the title is uninteresting. Limited arena chest storage combined with long chest opening times makes for a very poor reward system. With that said, the game is not actually bad so much as uninspired. I've played worse, which you might consider as damning with faint praise.
