Thanks for the feedback:) I was just testing with the screen size, i have two versions, one with 1280x1024 and one that has 120x720, but if you recommend a different size I will be glad to know:)
the main char is animated very well, the game mechanics could use more attention as i assume you already know. you probably uploaded this for feedback purposes. I'd like to see the visual representation be a little more fluent. the backgrounds are real life photos while the platforming blocks are simple and thrown together. All of the right things are there though. The char moves as expected and interacts with the enemies without glitching. Good work, and keep it up :)
from a programmer's standpoint, good work on your 1st game. you probably already know that there doesn't seem to be a way to restart the game once it's over. I am also suffer a lot of lag, it may be my computer, but i'm wondering if your removing the movieclips of the objects that fall below the visual area of the screen? what i mean to ask is, when a bomb is avoided, and it zips past you and out the bottom, do you remove the movie clip, or is it forever falling?
Thanks for all the input. (kirby22222) I'm currently working on the computer A.I. so you're not forced to play 2P on the same console. (Tolrick) i'll redesign the instructions to make them more user friendly. (crispydude358) I don't have the skills to implement server side multiplayer at the moment, but i see using it in the future.
there's no penalty for wasting bullets, so i was getting 10 pts with every shot, i simply mashed the left click and received hundreds of pts per terrorist. maybe add different point values for scoped range. good start.
also, the army base page made me think that there could be timed responses. maybe you only have 5 seconds to decide to take the sub before it submerges. then you're only left with DIVE or CHOPPER. That sort of thing.
maybe some moral options like the char can choose to save someone's life or escape by himself. His actions could affect the availability of future choices. like maybe the guy he saved shows up later and could take a bullet for the char.
hi, nice work!
FYI: I was getting an actionscript error;
"TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at spaceship/EnterFrame3()" when i gathered powerups.
personally, i would like to see the puke have a stronger presence in game-play. it has great potential, but it's current consistency is infuriating. it seems awfully liquid like. every time i click to vomit, I persistently hope it's much more solid than it winds up being. good concept and execution anyway. cheers
great game, beautifully drawn frames. side note: the score submission part at the end won't submit for me. keeps telling me to go back and generate a new verify code.
