Overrated game, just like the rest by this developer. Simplified, poorly balanced versions of already existing games reusing the same art assets...yay... :/
No strategic options, poor graphics, no challenge and poorly optimized code. Must be some kind of cult thing, I can't find a redeeming quality to the game.
The ranking system has some sort of bug. If I finish 90/188, I'm in the top 50%. The system places me in the bottom 50%, anyone know what's up with it?
surfing jelly:there is are 2 tabs on the right side of the "tower" page, sisters and chickens are on the second tab. Missed it myself for the longest time, they don't really stick out.
There are many ways to play, I find the most efficient to be building 5 sniper shrooms and one slow shroom, building them up to lvl five then adding more snipers as you earn money.
Sniper mushroom is the most effective mushroom, ridiculous range, great damage and the speed reduction is not much at all. Mix those with teleport and slow mushrooms and you get autowin.
I'm on level 30 currently on campaign mode with norm difficulty, due to slowdown it takes about 10 minutes to beat a stage now :P. For those who want to know how to upgrade. Take the uzi first, don't upgrade it at all. Take a flame tower next, upgrade it completely. Upgrade to machine gun next. Buy a laser tower then a missle tower. Upgrade both all of the way, laser tower first. Focus on refire rate first, at max it will help you survive. From here on you can buy what you want up to 30, I focused on repairmen so I can survive airstrikes, currently have about 30. Gonna take another 2 hours or more to get to 40. With enough repairmen, you can survive anything.
For the sparta challenge, 2 maxed flamer joes, one wind fan and the rest in repairmen. Go grab a drink and you will win without ever having to do anything. :)
Also, if you run a ranger with a cleric, take annoint and hail of arrows. You'll get more damage from the annointed hail of arrows than from a litany of pain + hail of arrows. ;)
Ranger as a tank is quite fun, run him all endurance with massive regen. To be honest, I got a lot further on 338 with a warrior, cleric, ranger, mage setup but I wanted to try a set that would be high damage. The other 3 rangers run all high quickness + pure dex, can usually most if not all of the enemies before they even get a chance to attack but it's pretty rough going if you get a lot of misses on your first volley. It's a lot tougher to run than the classic setup, that's for sure.
I can't get conjurers to work well for me, they have very low survivability and the mana regen from the sprite doesn't ever seem wortwhile, especially when the sprites die quickly. What kind of build are you running on your conjurer?
woohoo!
