It was a great effort by you veg, you should definitely make a version 2 of this :P you could have 3 different types of ships to choose from at the start, a heavy gunned slow one, a quicker shooter, an 'in the middle'.
A set path could be made, different types of upgrades too, give some information on the wavelength even every wave change the floor looks if your not going to do a path a few different tower types too, i would also like it if your mouse could do damage...i have never understand why noone ever does it...it's pretty cool but then again that might be a little OP:)
I could see some great potential with this game actually, your older now making some much more interesting things, the writing can be improved instructions can be improved, one thing that is annoying is that even if you click on the person you get put to jail, you should be in hospital injured...making you pay for that aswell. If you are not going to make an improvement of this game then please fix the dodgeball thing it doesn't work properly...i hope you do make a proper game of this though it's sounds really good.
i'm going to give it 3/5, that's because it has potential...if you designed a new area's and if it catches you your in trouble then i think that could make an awesome game, or even loads of them trying to get you in one area and you have special abilities to get to your destination and complete the level, Invisibility...Speed loads of different things if you try make them.
