The info dump at the start of the game is TOO LONG. I felt like a lot of the information I was being told was redundant because of earlier explanations of the same principle. The worst of it was that, after being forced to sit through 5-10 minutes of information, the player is expected to make a decision about equipment with NO information at all. Are those decisions cosmetic, or will they affect gameplay? How will they affect gameplay?
The tutorial cutscene should have been a series of levels, to let people learn at their own pace while also letting players actually experience gameplay within a reasonable timeframe. The unskippable cutscene at the start is a huge turn-off.
All joking aside, this game has a very poor interface. It's very distracting for the timer and preview tabs to be away from the main menu. A lot of the time I'll be scouring the corners for pieces only to find myself suddenly staring at part of the menu.
I love this game, but why are the tutorials so terrible? I know what to do, I don't need my actions to be locked out while the creeper keeps spreading, however slow it moves.
I really liked this until the EPIC BOSS MODE had attack sequences that you can't dodge. Maybe it's because my laptop is too old and I can't move quick enough, but I swear I've had parts where there are missiles going at the top and middle then an axe headed to the bottom.
