Very Earthbound-like tile set. I love it. Game is great. One of the minor annoyances is collision detection (you cannot 'slide' along diagonal walls). Good story, nice atmosphere. Executed well.
Nice to see a dev committing time to a game and listening to feedback. I appreciate this as someone who's nearly through a CS degree, I know it's not as easy as it seems from the outside looking in, so kudos for that.
Very minor bug for your list: Sometimes when you're holding down left click to survey faster, the counter doesn't update. IE the base time to finish the survey is 30s. If you hold down left click, although it does double the speed, it doesn't say 15s. It continues to say 30s, it just goes much faster and updates the second every .5 seconds lol. I haven't paid too much attention to this, but I've noticed at least while surveying ruby (on second reset, doubt that matters), this happens.
Keep at it.
I thought this game seemed reeeeeeeeally imbalanced on my first run at it. Turns out you have a glitch where every ore is worth the exact same amount of money... All I did was start a new game. Refreshed and it updated.
Ah, yes, my mistake! New players were getting corrupted mine data and REALLY slow progress. We just posted a fix in 2.5c so this should be corrected now! Thanks for your patience!
I actually like this game a lot. A lot more than I thought I would at first glance. I like the idea and I've played quite a number of idle games, and this one feels pretty good. A developer who listens to comments is a pretty big plus.
One of my biggest complaints is there is no way to cancel a potion's effect on a worker (or maybe I'm missing it). Kind of stinks if you accidentally click one on and then have to wait for 30 some odd minutes until you can click the right one.
The spring tends to cut your bounce by quite a bit.. is this intentional? In its slightly better than hitting the ground, but it certainly will ruin a run if you hit one out of the gate.
To complete challenge #6, get the small orb asap and shoot it at a larger one. As soon as you do, run into the larger one (yes, take damage) and shoot it again. repeat. The trick is to split it into tiny orbs ASAP. The sooner you get small orbs, it becomes much easier to fire more, breaking more at the same time.
So, don't be afraid to get hit early on. It's worth it, and you become invincible for that short time
I also had an issue getting the game to do anything. It would open to chapter 1 and then even after clicking the gun, nothing responded. I used Internet Explorer (instead of my usual firefox) and that let me play. Worth a shot for you guys having issues
