Easy (but boring) way to win. First thing you do is pick the starting pack on the right (paladin). Then after you have gotten past of the tutorial stuff go to "Decks" (top left), click empty deck. Now add every gold mine you have, 7 peasants, 2 crystal mines, 2 forest archer's, 2 parting gift's and a siege engine. You could put in 1 or 2 gold only fighters if you want.
Now for combat, first play any gold mines you have. As soon as a non peasant fighter is drawn play it but don't use them right away wait for the enemies to get near then buy all 5 at once. Play crystal mines when you can. Go through your deck until you can play parting gift. Once you play parting gift only make peasants, and not all at once, you want them to die but don't let the enemies into your portal. Every peasant that dies makes your enemy lose 1hp so after 100 or so die, you win. Fire siege engine/s whenever you want.
Your results may vary, but for me it was rather easy to win.
I really liked it, give it a 4. But it seems like it is missing a bit of polish. In my opinion the sound seemed a bit too dry and lacked energy. And the tutorial could use a bit more work (because honestly I just skip them pop ups at the start of levels lol). But it looks like it has potential.
In all honesty the starting tutorial screen was tacked on at the last minute, the intended form of instruction was the pop ups, they include almost all the information for playing the game, thanks for the heads up about skipping them. Also, I accept full responsibility for the music, I deliberately asked David to make the music very clean, sterile, and unenergetic to emphasize the minimalist style of the game, my apologies if you disliked it. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, and thanks for the information.
Woot!!! All 3 badges and challenge at the same time. The $500 item helps a ton, gives you 1000% more gold, that is if you don't die before you use it...
Okay, if you want to kick butt get the lightning weapon!!! That thing can wipe out the whole field sometimes. Then the BFG is a good back up or the big laser. Anything you want for the third slot.
P.s. For early levels the arc spread and spiraller are killer. The are not bad for level 30+ either.
Ya a blob of monsters does lag the game a bit. But we are working on it.
Oh and the game is 20 levels you can get back to any of them through the level select.
