Zeebarf, you consistently make some of the highest quality flash games I see on Kong. That said, I could forgo some of the crazy shadow/focus effects to get a faster load time. Still, 5/5.
Fun but definitely flawed - repetitive gameplay involves mashing on keyboard buttons and continually replaying levels to get XP, difficulty curve is totally uneven, and mute button doesn't cut out irritating sound effects. Maybe the sequel will be better. 3/5
It's a better game than I initially thought - the real strategy comes in where you place your skill-points and your buildings, even more than how you combine your gems. It's also a freaking huge game that will take you a significant amount of time to beat. And to all of you whining about the first epic boss, it's not that hard. Go back and get higher scores on the first few levels, get your skills up and don't forget to use gem bombs.
Intermittently fun with its snarkiness, but any game that forces you to commit suicide if you fall the wrong way gets docked at least one point. Forced failure is not fun. 3/5
The AI is pretty horrendously bad. One hilarious moment: After Verdadux said I should attack the weaker of two enemies first, he promptly attacked the stronger.
Decent game, good production values, currently hugely overrated on Kong. There are some strategies in the game which hardly work and it ends very abruptly.
Overall I gave it four stars - it was fun even if it was repetitive, and there was clearly some effort put into the making of it.
You know, the fact that you get a bonus of 5000 points for each day you survive really should be mentioned in the menu...
Interesting experiment, btw, but you're participating in the system as much as anyone... and there are plenty of games that "push the envelope" that get played as well. Coil, for instance, was pretty crap in my opinion, but lots of people enjoyed it just because it was weird. And there are also games like The Visitor, which take point-and-click mechanics and then throw in an excellent story and good art direction and make something excellent. The bottom line is, sites like Kongregate and Newgrounds have immense distribution power - Kongregate especially with the use of incentives like badges - but good games usually rise to the top, thanks to viewer ratings.
Brilliantly creepy and fun. The art style enables it to strike the perfect balance between being laugh-worthy and skin-crawlingly gory. Excellent work, and I too hope there's a sequel, or at least another game like it.
The adventure mode's text was pretty funny if you took it as a parody of games like MGS, but the voice acting really didn't help sell it too well. Good gameplay / graphics though, I gave it a 4
Excellent work on this.... A WASD option would be nice, but hey, if you played World One you should be used to the controls. I really got a sense that the world was almost endless, especially on the ink-only level. You're really doing a good job of trying to push the medium forward.
