I liked this game, but it does need improvements. A minor glitch was leaving the game, coming back, and you could not click the bottom left portion to of the screen to navigate, which meant you had so start over (no big deal) a MAJOR bug is twice I left my game and turned off my computer, the next time I logged onto Kongregate my entire game was deleted! I never had this problem if I left the game running, Ibut usually had to restart it anyway because of the 'navigation bug.' liked the music and the graphics, and the character changing armor, maybe some more options for that, or the ability to see your pets or even upgrade them? This game could be so much more, as I did everything in one run-through. You might want think about updating it, as it is a great premise. Cheers!
Beautiful Artwork, engaging storyline, and even a puzzle aspect. Great game! The only complaint I have is even after speed upgrades I felt the character moved too slow, but perhaps I'm just impatient =)
Love these games! I tried several times to get the hard badge and never realized as long as I press continue after I die and not restart the counter still goes on as usual until I got 500 head shots...
I like the premise...kinda like The Last Stand meets Rebuild. Gameplay was fun at first, but then it just got repetitive due to me getting caught in a loop of having to repair my building and not having time to search. I really saw no change by using survivors to repair/shoot by day 21. Like others have said the rate of survivors dying/not finding anything makes the game sort of frustrating because it can totally ruin your game by day 7. Also, I didn't like the controls for the shooting sequences. It was a bit buggy and took forever to reload. Sometimes if I aimed to close to my building, the gun would 'get stuck' and I'd lose the level. The idea is great, but the gameplay could be worked on a bit. 3/5
You can get all the achievements easy if you unlock Hipster and get the suicide achievement at the beginning of the game.If the patrons have to wait you'll get a zero rating. You need 12. Make sure to buy an amenity to unlock the marketeer. Destroy the amenity with someone in it and the person will die. This also works for rooms, just make sure the person is in there. Kill 5 people each day until u get the achievement. You'll probably have a negative approval rating by this time, but it can easily be brought back up. Usually once a goal associated with a specific customer type has been met, you can use filter points to stop them from coming in. Unlock the 'third server slot' upgrade and make sure you have three people serving until you unlock Tita. Take advantage of the 'fully furnish 12 rooms' and 'upgrade 8 amenities' goals to get the customers you want coming in while filtering the ones you don't to zero. This will make it easier to unlock the final family member.
At the later stages, I just leave my hero at the beginning and send my units out to defeat the bosses. Seems kind of pointless to have upgraded other than for the spells, which the units learn anyway. As others have said, the extra upgrade points should be used for something or we should be able to have multiple accessory slots. 4/5
It's ok. Graphics are funny/cute. Upgrade system is decent. Music is appropriate. Controls are alright. Gameplay was ok too, liked how there was some sort of time limit, which meant you had to think fast in order to earn the most money. Can't really say why I'm not impressed by it, just personal preference, I suppose. 3.5/5
Ok, so here are my thoughts about this game. 1. Controls are awful. On top of having to do everything near-perfectly in order to get past a level, the power/angle thing becomes increasingly irritating as you get further in the game. Making it go faster does not add a challenge, it just makes it more frustrating. Graphics are ok, not my cup of tea, but decent. Music, none, unless you count that annoying 'yee-hoo' sound effect. Gameplay and upgrading system is a mess. I personally don't like games where u have to repurchase upgrades every round, it seems pointless, and a creativity bonus...? Lame. It's a good idea and not bad for a 'prototype' (which it obviously isn't considering this game has been on here forever with no sort of updates) but what it really lacks is playability.
Geez, I need a mouse, can't control the sight with the touch pad and run at the same time...Great game though, the story is funny, controls, well...could be my lack of hand eye-coordination, so probably good, graphics are awesome and music is well executed. 4/5
didn't really enjoy this game, can't even get the easy badge, and it freezes up while the timer's still going...or maybe it's operator error, but other games run fine, so probably not. 3/5
liked the concept for sure, but am partial to 'upgrade games' in general. For a three day creation, this is pretty awesome. Since most of us love achievements, this game should have some in-game as well. You could also even make different endings based on the number of days played. But, these are just suggestions for a possible sequel, maybe. The music was great too! 5/5
Love all your games Nerdook. Although I was a bit confused by the 'bosses' in this one. Isn't the point of a boss to be a challenge to the player? At any rate, it's still a fun game. Thanks!
Pretty good game, although way too easy. The game kind of had that ' tactical RPG for dummies' feel to it. I think part of the problem is the wide range the spell casters are given to attack. Perhaps if you limited their attacks to a smaller area and added 'range' to the upgrade system the game would be more challenging. I didn't even need the warrior after the Priestess learned Smite, which was very early in the game. The upgrade system was ok, but there's not much choice for the player in how to build characters. The whole 'party experience' thing is fine, but individual stat points or something would be cool. Just saying most rpg fans like to be able to pick what works best for their playing style and this game doesn't really offer that.
Overall, a great concept, but there's still some things that could be worked on. 3/5
3 bucks for a triple? How does this place stay open? =) Good game though 4/5. Seriously, the low amount of money earned for so much work made me lose interest fast.
