the biggest problem is that it takes LARGE amounts of energy to build power plants-as aerow noted, the nuke plant is especially bad. a bit more time to build up would make things easier.
stage 8 is simply impossible-just not time to get enough resources to build up defences capable of surviving the first wave...and worse yet, if you don't use some of your precious resources to build at least one garbage truck and landfill, zombies spontaneously appear right on top of your headquarters the second it turns dark!
oh, that's just SOOO annoying...the fireball knocks me in the SAME direction IT is moving, so i get hit several times by the SAME fireball...so one unlucky hit, and the demon kills me in ONE shot!
yep, health never goes down, so you CAN'T lose...also needs more information about the various upgrades. (for example: if you upgrade the monk to "priest" he hits all enemys in his range at once, "mage" shoots exploding projectiles)
crap, what a disaster! the stupid save file failed to record the trilobite key! so i'll have to try an old save...and re-do the entire catacomb dungeon!
after you beat moric the first time, co back to the room in the catacombs where he was and through the door on the north side. this leads to the zombie dragon!
ok, i got 1 trilobite key from the bandit i spared, 1 in a rock in the tainted caves, 1 from a zombie prowling around canonia near the end of the story...but where's the last one?
yes, the badges are very glitchy. i got the runner badge by playing on defence mode, it's impossible on classic mode. oh, and the default setting is "beginner", some badges require playing on "expert".
i've got 2 glitches involving the minigun: first, if you run out of ammo but keep holding the spacebar, you can still hear the shooting sound. i can make that stop by pausing and unpausing, but then the game hangs the next time i try to shoot the minigun!!
oh, and yes, the demons are just too powerfull.
i said this is a previous comment, but i'll say it again: i think the game has a flaw: if several flowers hit a tar at exactly the same time, it takes only 1 point of damage, so firing a whole column at once does no good; better to launch 3 at a time, or by row!
pretty gruesome...but so is most of Zeebarf's work. i've seen some of his art on www.darwinawards.com, which also has a link to his own art site...find it, if you dare!
i just got a second red balloon level-on the "oil of war" campaign!
i think it might have more to do with in-game "badges" (90% accuracy, etc.) than score...
