ridiculously bad lag for a game that could have been played on an Atari 2600. cool game though, and thank god it didn't make me start over every time I died due to glitching screen or lag.
Doesn't load on my machine. =(
Sounds like fun... don't worry, I won't rate it 1 because it won't load like some jerks - I'll just try it another machine when I can.
Fun, if incredibly similar to M:TG. A few problems, other than bad AI and small glitches...
- You can't see the discard pile, so you don't know what your opponent just did to you.
- There are not nearly enough cards that cost generic power, so it's really tough to mix colors. Even just a couple in each color that can at least take 1 or 2 generic power would be nice.
- No summoning sickness makes it awfully easy to lose in a frustrating way... especially the 1 life challenge. I might have 2 Sniper Bots and a Frailty ready to take out any opponent creatures, but if he plays an R3, I don't even have a chance to react before I'm dead. I should be able to see what's going to hit me a turn before it hits... that adds strategy, and that's a good thing.
Need deck-building, and the balance between cards is incredibly out-of-whack. I admit that if the decks are random, card balance doesn't matter that much, but it's complete BS to draw cards that are flat-out worse than others - it makes it even more about luck than it should be.
There needs to be a way to offer a draw. Got in a match where we double KO'd the second guy each, and were left with Helene vs. Helene at long range. Whoever maneuvered close was suiciding, so it went forever until I just gave in and moved in and let him win.
I love this game. A few things that I think would make it better include:
-badges (obviously)
-persistent hero leveling - would have to make it slower for a hero to level up after the first few levels, and preferably allow more choices on level up (increase to certain stats, choosing which spells you get like the fireball and summon demon thing, allow you to choose various creatures at each tier), also some creatures would need to have prereqs so it's not like you completely ignore lower level creatures when you get to higher levels, or just cost insane amounts of gold
-just a little bit more complexity in general wouldn't hurt
as for the graphics, I think they're good, kinda retro, but I don't they need changing.
maybe I'll figure out what is annoying other people. but for now, 5/5... awesome game. I imagined something like this game in my head and have wanted to play it for some time now. thanks for reading my mind with your time-traveling robot.
