It helps not to think of it as a double jump, but a directional dash. Decoupling jumping and dashing opens up design space to make cooler levels than just traditional double jumping. For example the top bouncer section is traversed best with Г-shaped jump-dash and wouldn't be really feasible with a double jump.
Hey 0rava, will the next installment of the series use a better engine (as in, anything but Flash?)
This game has proved that the series has major potential, but the bloated piece of ass known as Flash is holding it back. I'm running a GTX Titan and an 8 core Haswell with 16 GB of RAM. I shouldn't be having framerate issues when cutting up 20 dolls.
I can't really just hop onto another platform and make everything work off the bat. Native MaD is not planned whatsoever because it'd essentially require a full rewrite.
Protip: Once you're max rank, remove everything and replace it with a small bubble and as many Star Bursts as you can add. Press spacebar, it pretty much one hits everything and is AoE (attack over area)
This game is bull. Eventually there are so many god damn bullets everywhere that it's impossible to avoid them, and because the developers apparently don't comprehend difficulty scaling you eventually rank down rapidly into a nearly defenseless one bubble tank that immediately gets destroyed when you go back into a bubblezone.
I don't see how NOBODY realizes this.
Of course, since I'm not on the circlejerk of "ermergesh this game is perfect" I'll be downvoted.
Fix your god damn game and stop charging people for part packs that hardly give anything.
"Oh cool, a game that looks like it will be better than the dated Robot Arena games!"
*Clicks play, sees the multiple currencies that most crappy mobile games abuse*
"NOPE NOPE NOPE NOOOOOPE."
My dream has come true. A puzzle game that doesn't revolve around stupid things like shooting birds or moving blocks, but instead revolves around research and taking notes of what you've learned to put to use to figure out the solution.
The only two problems I've had with this game is that it was too short, and now my browsing history is filled with seemingly random and confusing Google searches such as 1961 newspaper archives and bible quotes.
Freerangegames, it's a bit hard for me to determine, but I think a few people are having issues with getting money. Like ten people, maybe 20, or about almost the entire playerbase.
Sometimes when I save or quickload, objects linked to a human randomly detach or disappear even in the pause screen. Spent an hour carefully cutting an item, painted and replicated one for another doll, and made a helmet that actually would stop a bullet. And when I went to do some adjustments on the one prototype, the helmet item just disappeared with the links intact. Reloading the save didn't do anything even though I didn't save after it happened.
Items can only be saved intact, because there’s really no decent way of serializing all the different combinations of cut stuff, since ANY item can be cut in ANY way.
Sorry to double post, Kongregate needs edit functions.
When you delete coins, they're gone forever in the level editor. If you accidentally place an enemy in a tree they become stuck to eachother and you cant move one out of the way.
Hotkeys for flying, deleting, etc etc. Perhaps a properties editor for tiles, could make for interesting trick levels with impossible jumps over harmless lava and deadly grass.
This game has amazing potential. Animagames, are you planning on making a sequel? I would suggest wheels/rockets that you can control, a move tool that you can also rotate blocks with by pressing T (tilt) and R (rotate). More saveslots, no swastika in the game image, and more parts? Perhaps even a damage system, and terrain.
I love this game, by the way :D
