The ending and the beginning are the same - the traveller you choose to chase or let go of was yourself, at the start. That's why the corridor is the same and you keep discovering letters from your future self. When you wake up, you'll probably wake up as yourself, in your own bed, as you realise what you've done.
For those who want to make groups, you can make use of the renaming system under the Students tab to sort members by class (Tank 1, Tank 2, Tank 3) or by group (A Archer, A Healer, A Tank; B Archer, B Mage, B Tank); then use the A-Z tab to sort your teams.

Tip: You don't need to train 3 ducks, or even 2 ducks. Save yourself the extra grinding, and just train your starter duck (...a lot). The race requirement needed to complete the game is 150 minimum in everything, so if you want the last badge, just get one duck with these stats and enter it thrice in every tournament. As far as I can tell, there is no point in raising stats beyond 150.
Closed the window and my gold tournament level save file was deleted after re-opening it. -_- Please take note and don't close the game til you're done!
I love the MARDEK series of games, but might it be possible to implement some form of inventory sorting (by item type?) at the Save Crystals in the next game? It's getting a little hard to sort things out, and I'm spending most of my time perpetually rearranging things to keep them neat.
