Ima be honest here, it needs work, like not being able to throw your hat in midair, no recall animation for the hat, it just appears, a poof or a boomerang effect would be nice I think, the music is great but a bit short, nothing happens when a platform "crushes" you and it seems a bit glitchy. Also it might be interesting if enemies move and shoot with the hat on, could add some strategy, on that note they have no shooting animation, you just drop down dead. I suppose in short it feels a bit unfinnished but it gives me good hopes for the sequel.
Funish but micro-transactions could not have been done worse, premium currency is the only currency and the ingame ways of earning it are a joke. A fairly skilled sniper with a few bucks to spend starts playing, buys a one hit kill gun and the game is now terrible, when it misses you don't know and when it hits you don't know what hit you, it makes the game feel totally arbitrary, plus missile launchers are essential to tank mode so people will need to get them anyway. In short get Block And Load or Ace Of Spades or something.
I made myself the rule that you can only play the levels once on easy then medium then hard so you can't grind, found it really added to my enjoyment of the game and made permadeath work, got all gold with mage but with the warrior I just got silver on the second last and bronze on the last. Maby you can do it.
First I think: "easy" next "Ok a bit faster" then "this is pretty hard" then "this
has to be the final boss, oh, ok, no, now there's 2 of them, shit... now this MUST be it... apparently not" After that it just one long drawn out scream, until finally I start giggling and staring at the wall with a demented grin.
The final version will have around 20-25 player levels, and at least 2 game modes (plus user-created modes!) We haven't quite worked out which of these features will be in the free version here, but stay tuned!
A few tips: if you want to publish a game please make an effort, scratch is a good programming language(google it), ask a friend or 2 if its good before you publish it and only call it hard if it is hard.
This has huge potential but it needs a sequel to really be a game you can stick to for a long time. Also I keep placing stuff when I pause or move the minimap so I think that it needs a dedicated button and readout bar.
There is a bug where if you get the candle, open the door and then talk to the person beside the door he acts like the door isn't open. Or am I misunderstanding something?
That wasn't a crash animation. That was the physics engine having a fit when you touch the door to level two(the blue screen). That has been fixed and the fix will be in the next update.
