This game really isn't worth the 5 year wait. I feel like I'm on ice, and the game just doesn't have the same puzzle-y feel that the last one did. Calling this episode 2 is a disservice to the first game.
@rpresser Since when? WASD is the de-facto control scheme of any game now, because it frees up the right hand to use the mouse. Since when would "evil left-handed developers" deliberately use a control scheme which stops them from being able to use the mouse at all. Or do you want to explain how you use wasd and the mouse with your right hand.
I do agree with others that the controls are bad. Standard WASD aiming would work for 8 directions, and would be much easier to control. It also means you wouldn't have to stop shooting every time you adjust your aim.
There's a distinct lack of information that this game gives you. Whenever you play as the guards, you are told absolutely nothing. It doesn't give you a map, or tell you any of the points where you're supposed to be defending. It doesn't even tell you which item is stolen, so you have absolutely no idea what's going on. And even if you're lucky enough to play as the theives, you're still not told the location of any of the items but the one you are trying to steal. I feel like a guard in this game: Just running around in the dark.
Are you kidding me? Just spent about 5 minutes on a level then needed to pause. Silly me for pressing the escape key. That's obviously the "quit a level without even asking you" button.
yeh ,
