This is a very common concept, but there are two things I especially like about this one. The first is the clean minimalist aesthetic quality. Most games like this try to fill the screen with glimmering jewels or wiggling blobs and all kinds of useless interface information. This game rejects all of that in favor of solid square blocks and a score. My favorite detail (and I may be a bit biased here because this idea is where the entire color scheme from _# Ant Game #_ comes from) is the way the #333333 background color matches the Kong background. It gives it a feeling of being part of the page and not just some square in the middle of the page. Luminara also does an excellent job with this (see the corners of the swf).
Well, you reused the stuff from the other game, but you did it well. I like this more than the generic "eat and grow" game, though it does have less replay value.
I have to say, this is truly an excellent game. Some of the latter multiplayer levels clearly have a lot of thought put into them, it has a nice aesthetic, and the multiplayer is virtually lag-free. I know this is an entirely different take on the racing concept, but I like this a lot more than I did _Kongregate Racing_.
I like the concept, but I have to agree with rejex that it is a bit too easy. Also, the in-game interface coul use some work (though I really like the gear menu).
Disregard the last comment. I see how it works now. I clicked past all of the intro screens really fast the first time and missed the controls options.
The pixel art is great. The background creates a nice effect. It has that retro feel. The only things that are missing are music and a real fleshed-out game. This is really nice for 5 hours, though.
I need to come back to this next time I buy something that includes 3D glasses. The graphics are really nice and the feel is cool. The gameplay is pretty average, though.
It's decent. I like the art. I like the music, too, but it gets kind of annoying after a bit. Gameplay-wise, it's what you'd expect from a Flash platformer. There's obviously some Mario inspiration (of course, it IS a platformer) with the jumping on heads and the venus fly-trap-like creatures.
