I gave it my best shot. More than a couple of times I was ready to quit, but I thought I'd keep giving it the benefit of the doubt. The poor balancing outweighs it integrity. I'm out ~
3/5 because the stats aren't balanced. Should've been able to reach the last boss three times already but keep getting knocked out too easily. There aren't enough opportunities to increase HP without sacrificing either magic or attack power.
I really wanted to keep playing this game after I got the badges, but the insane wait times are a blunt message from developers. @KEVINECG - clearly you don't want people to actually play your game.
Friendly AI renders allies almost useless: -1 point.
Random bugs here and there (ghost/enemies don't die/disappear): -0.5 points.
Grindfest: -1 point.
Poorly balanced game (e.g. the archer always dies pretty quickly): -1 point.
Clunky response to controls: -1 point.
Repetitive (even without the grinding!): -1 point.
I give you the rating of -0.5/5
Oh man. Dying is brutal and escaping a fight makes no promises. I love this game but I don't think I'm going to play it now. The prospect of releveling and collecting all the minute details and ingredients all over again just doesn't appeal to me.
It's my fault, of course. I had a good run and was ready to use the wings. But, as is my habit, I wanted to see how far I could go and got trapped in a fight I couldn't handle. Sigh
Timing out when fighting the boss: -2 (He's worth a buttload of money and bonus points. Extra point detracted because there's no way to grind for the resources he would have provided)
Mouse responsiveness subpar and occasional projectile making it through the shield: -1
Poor system for morale gain/loss.
Game would lag, almost always at the worst possible moment, even at the lowest quality setting.
Search party survival was ridiculous.
But not a bad game, I suppose.
