Yep, can confirm. Game does not work the very first time you load it. Just refresh and everything works fine. Quite a strange bug but at least theres a quick easy fix.
I love this idea. I've been having a lot of fun with this game. The best part in my mind is its an idle game where clicks don't eventually become useless. MY suggestions are: Some kind of mini-game other than match-3 gameplay, just to keep it interesting. And - I had to bring my browser to 90% zoom to be able to see everything at once. I know my laptop is old but I don't think 1440x900 is that bad of a resolution. YOu should try and make it fit and a normally-zoomed browser. (Unless of couse 1440x900 sucks now and I just don't know it. And no I dont have any toolbars, just tabs and address bar on Google Chrome).
Other than that, its wonderful. Five stars
The game is designed with mobile resolutions in mind but I lowered the flash version to 464x696 in hopes it would fit on everyone's screen. Looks like I didn't go low enough. I keep my windows task bar on the left side of my screen and I forgot to account for most ppl having it at the bottom. If 90% is bugging you, you can also try fullscreen (f11 in chrome) which still lets you alt+tab to other windows but hides all the toolbars
Attention: Dont be me. I let the lack of graphics turn me off to this game until I was bored while my daughter napped. This is a great idle game, if you like idle games, fkin play it.
Say I had an idea. If youre looking to add quests and more talk with Catherine, why not make it so that Catherine wants gifts and only certain countries sell certain gifts? That would give incentive to conquer things, and it would add a questing aspect since those items would cost more and more gold. I'm sure you have plenty of tricks up your sleeve but maybe reading this will kickstart something in your brain =D
What a great idle game! Granted I have no idea how this year people decided idling was fun, but I agree with them xD. I enjoy the troops as well, its nice that the game isnt entirely "Get more money to buy more things to get more money", you managed to throw some other aspects in that make you think about how to balance things. 5/5 I can't wait to see these updates you're talking about :)
This was the worst game I've ever played. Greg, what the HELL are you thinking giving games like this badges? What happened to Kong being 'elite gamers' and not just people who can click on the right pixels in the right order? Absolutely terrible, 1/5
Well, I was loving this game up until the boss of the second campaign. Cannot possibly be hurt with the double turret which means I now need to try and take him out with a level 1 guided missile. Absolutely stupid, 1/5.
Dev, serious question: Why are options locked out in the first levels? You lose your priest on level 2, but can't get another? I'd have 3-starred it if healing was possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm greatly enjoying this game, but why do that? Also, why have locked upgrades? What if I wanna upgrade my mages before my soldiers? I know I can respec later, but I just don't get why devs lock options out. Its a game, I should be able to play how I want, you know? Either way this is a solid 4/5 for me, and you did a great job with fairly unique gameplay. You should be proud =D.
At the first mission it's almost impossible to loose, and player gets several high level units just to see what they will meet later, and also learn some basics. At the second level the priest is removed to teach players that they have to protect their men and avoid melee fights as long as possible. Also lvl2 is an introduction of ranged units. And so on, during the first 5 levels the player meets different types of units and learns the basic gameplay. And so on, new controllable units appear during the first half of the game. And from the second half we introduce new enemies and combat situations, and difficulty level raises dramatically.
Abilities in the upgrades panel are closed to avoid possible errors in stars arrangement (ah, I upgraded my mages, but there's no mages at this level at all! Stupid, stupid dev! ^_^), and also to leave at least for some time a bit of mystery in the skills tree.
Ahh, the perks of playing a series 2 years late. I don't have to wait for Episode 4! Absolutely great series, I've been loving it, from 1 to this one, and I'm sure 4 will be every bit as good.
I've gotta say, I really liked it til I got stuck, used the walkthrough, and found out I was doing everything right, just like one pixel off. Or in the case of that damned worm, .01 seconds too slow. 3/5, its not bad but that fact and the stupid-ass worm killed it for me. Sesitivity is just a bit too high on that red bar, I didn't even know I could move a mouse that slow.
Well, I loved this game up until the last ambush on insane mode. Sometimes the shrieks come at the beginning, sometimes at the end, sometimes not at all. Why a respectable site like Kongregate would let ANYTHING from shitbag EA on their site is beyond me. Come on Greg, don't let this become a commercialized piece of shit. You partnered with Gamestop thats bad enough.
That first-time load bug has now been squashed! :)
