definitely needs to be more responsive/faster character acceleration like the old version. I still have that as a flash game on my hard drive, i still play it regularly, and this online version is sorely missing the fast gameplay aspect that makes the game.
I kinda like the game, but the control is really irritating. Groups move of their own accord, do not follow my orders at all - at numerous points I click and drag one group to move and another group entirely goes in exactly the opposite direction while the one I tried to move does nothing. This is way too messy to be a decent game, I think.
Even though the game seemed to get easier after the first level not harder, even though the endurance mode is possibly the easiest level and seems to be basically a cop out and has just been thrown in there - I am absolutely in love with this game. The story behind it is so engaging, the range of bots is impressive and provides huge and varied strategy, the weather mechanic adds a great uncontrollable variable... it's still very unbalanced, but this has the potential to be a fantastic game set to be right up there on most played.
