It seems like the difficulty has increased noticeably since the first one. I usually don't have an issue with that, but there's no difficulty option and the curve just feels weird--like it's always a pace or two ahead, even with upgrades. I guess it's just kind of annoying when the first enemies you meet in a bullet hell take more than one shot to kill.
Wow, I thought this was a one-off game but you guys are making a pretty compelling storyline. The game itself is great too, even if it does lag a bit on my crap setup.
It's bad design for an escape game to crash if you do one step prematurely, especially if it's in the middle.
SPOILER: Do NOT short the electrical box before visiting the glass orb thing.
Has anyone actually beaten this thing on Deity? I appreciate the challenge but I'm starting to think it's literally impossible given the game parameters.
I think this game's stellar rating is evidence of its fun factor, despite it being buggy as hell. The game is great, but the gem system is a little convoluted. You don't unlock it until finishing the second seal, and it takes forever to collect a few when the guy only offers four at a time. The star upgrades are nice, but a minor complaint I have is wasting stars to boost your character's speed. I'd like the game better better if you just doubled speed and axed the upgrade altogether (the artwork is nice, but not terribly interactive. The same areas get boring after a while). And plz fix the bugs. Besides that, fantastic work on the balance with so many creature types!
