For the record... The lag can be temporarily fixed (sometimes) by reloading the page. It tends to last for around 3-4 runs when you're near the end of the game.
Found an odd bug. Jump just before hitting the chakram wielding enemy on lvl 2 with two ranged-attack kitties both low on health (One was the archer eq set, and one was the lara croft). Both my kitties die (one was in midair when he died) and the game freezes.
This game is tons of fun with the right bit of difficulty. My only main issue is HOLY CRAP is there some kind of RAM leak in the game. Runs fine, but every level I get through, it seems to slow down even more! To the point that it's around 5-10fps on the last level of chapter 5.
Let's see. Over-long developer intro (click something halfway through to get to the rest, really?!
Unintuitive levels basically requiring a visit to the dev website for walkthrough.
Cut-scenes count as levels in order to artificially increase the amount of 'game'.
hmm.. am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah. The squeak. That god-awful noise constantly going off. It's drilled its way into my brain, eroding my sanity... Sound design is terrible, level design is poor... Just all around poor.
So, there's no way to run away when using the keyboard. Lost about a 3 hour run. Awesome. Started using the keyboard because it's far to easy to accidentally run away using the mouse (oops, missed my potion, ran away and took 400 more hp of damage while trying to run).
Game is fun-ish, but not worth the time to re-do that much effort.
oh. my. effing. god. The flickering light levels. The game was good, was good, was good, then... Effing seizure inducing bull. Seriously. The idea is fine, but the execution is absolutely terrible. Howsabout a moving spotlight or something instead?
Earlier I posted a complaint about the long range guys, and the melee guys blocking until you get hit from behind/etc. Figured I'd mention this, that makes the game playable:
Belly-bash attack goes through blocks.
It's a pretty funny game. Only real gripe is how easy it is for the ranged enemies to dodge you basically forever (weapon swing, he changes direction, miss). Sadly, that takes the fun out of it as you can't attack the melee'ers, because you'll get exploded by the ranged, and you can't attack the ranged, because they just run away.
Ha, Transmission: Impossible done! There were maybe 3 or 4 stars that were really hard (the last level being the hardest), but an awesome sense of accomplishment. from figuring them out.
Just remember, the order you place the links in matters just as much as which links you place.
Wow. This game is really, really, really buggy for me. Laggy on lowest settings on a quite capable machine after the first run, forcing me to refresh the page, and that only works sometimes.
I want to know why I can't move from Jonestown to union city. I have like 8 days supplies, and the 'travel' button just isn't there. Game breaking bug alert :/
Day 37. The ungodly laggy game that has no way to turn off the buggy sound, or turn down the "quality" of the graphics once more resulted in an inability to maneuver around the pearl laser. What keeps me coming back to this? Is it purely matter of pride? Or perhaps something deeper, something buried in my psyche brings me back, day after day...
Do I even have the choice to leave this game unfinished?
